I'm so frustrated right now and it's not even about my problems. I guess the fact that I have a boyfriend means that his problems sometimes become my problems or his problems just make me more worried. He's the highest ranking assistant manager at a retail store. The second assistant manager that the store is hiring will be paid more than him. The #2 asst. manager was hired from outside and had not previously worked at the store. That's why he gets paid more. I mean, what's the justification for doing that????? It just sucks! :no: It's so unfair. And wouldn't the company save more money by promoting someone who's a sales associate and pay that person $9.50 or $9.75/hour rather than hiring someone from outside who gets paid $10.50???? I just don't understand companies and the corporate heads. Profit is such a nasty double-edged sword. I just feel really bad for my boyfriend. :bawl: Even though he'll work more hours than the #2 asst.manager, it's so sad and unfair that the other guy with a lower rank is getting paid more. :ticked: It must be a conspiracy. Hmmmpphhh!!! Such a sad, unfair world we live in. Anyway thanks for reading/listening. I just needed to get it out.

my sister got fired from dunkin' donuts some years ago because she was making too much money and they could hire someone for cheaper. it really sucks, but at least it looks like your bf gets to keep his job

That's a good point. :) Who knows...they might end up firing the second asst. manager b/c he makes too much money.

That just doesn't make sense - who's this other person sleeping with? When you factor in all the extra expense of hiring a new employee, it's much cheaper to hire inside the company, as there is little training involved, since they know the system. Maybe you can save some money from a benefit's side. I hate hiring new employees, they are useless for about two weeks while you train them. I've read all these crazy ideas about saving money, and like most stuff, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Promote the folks you know!! sorry about your problems, move out here, I'm always looking for good employees :whip:
