whenever i go into a place that has shakes, i get a vanilla shake. i can't bring myself to waste my money on shakes that aren't vanilla.

i recently had one that cost 4 bucks, but it was *amazing* - they put ice cream right in it, then something else, then mixed it up or whatever they do, and it was great...

burgerville, an oregon/washington/maybe somewhere else chain makes awesome shakes, and awful awfuls are pretty good, too. mmmmmmmmmmmm...

D'Oh! Sorry, DD...I'd also have to assume then that you're not a fan of Ben & Jerry "Chunky Monkey" ice cream then - I *am*, mainly cause it's got banana...

I'm a fiend for bananas, what can I say? And the shakes are much better than the ice cream - it doesn't melt all over you... http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

Well I'd have to say my favorite is Strawberry. BUT do you americans ever taste Coke and Ice Cream mixed. Here's the method.

Ingredients
Coca Cola
Vanilla Ice-Cream

Method
cut 3 bits of Vanilla Ice Cream (BIG) and put in pint glass.
Poor in coke, lots of it
Enjoy

No, but ironically, I'm a huge fan of NY Super Fudge Chunk. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Besides shakes, Dairy Queen Blizzards are awesome. Give me a vanilla Blizzard with crushed Snickers bars in it any day of the week.

Hmm, this might explain why I have a few extra pounds that I need to get rid of...?

MC: As to coke floats, I grew up on those things, in fact, I was um..::sigh:: craving one the other day. Unfortunately, the only ice cream we had in the house was Cherry Garcia, and the only coke had caffeine in it (a big no-no for pregnant girls).

Poss: As to pineapple shakes, I've never had one, but at Disney World, they had these awesome pinapple yogurt thingums. It was right by the Jungle Cruise..awesome. I get one almost every time I go with my Daddy.

thanxz *a lot* guys. all because of this thread i *had* to make a special trip to the store to buy vanilla ice cream and root beer to make root beer floats. my son also likes to make them w/cream soda.

we should seriously consider renaming this board the "food network forum."

I don't really want to start another topic here, but I totally LOVE honeycomb ice cream. So here i go to the supermarket looking for me ice cream. AND guess what! there giving away free tshirts with ever €2 you spend on ice cream. So I thought this is too good to be true. So..... I ask from the honeycomb - AND THEY'RE OUT OF IT! I was so upset. I felt sorry for the lady serving me as she had the scoop and all cleaned and her gloves on and sleeves rolled up when I told her NO, only honeycomb. GOODBYE

I love my honeycomb
Mullins Dairy IceCream - YUM
and that Ben and Jerrys stuff is €4 which is about $5 for a 500ml tub. A DISGRACE

Diesel Dan has the right idea- NY Super Fudge Chunk is one of my all-time favorites- and Choc Fudge Brownie. You guys gotta also try Godiva ice cream in chocolate hazelnut truffle- YUMMY but fattening. I guess one can tell I'm a chocolate freakhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif
