I haven't paid much attention lately, but he strikes me as somewhat of a tool of our dear ol' Bushie.

I actually like the guy, and not because they're our largest ally but because I've seen hundreds of his speeches and his debate skills and admire him on those abilities alone.

To be honest, I had a lot more respect for him before he became Bush's puppet voice in Europe and the UK.
He seemed to be a very stand-up guy who didn't mince words when it came to global commentary. Since 9/11, he's really just kind of been voicing whatever comes out of Bush's mouth, and just making it sound slightly more intelligent.

Blair is allied with the bush administration,
not with the american people
I think they're 2 completely different things.

When blair was elected over here it did seem like a new era. But now with his support to the eu commision and, as you say, his blind co-oporation with the states, our future looks bleak.

You guys are lucky to have such a massive established society, according to blair our only option is to merge with the eu. we will lose our soveriegnty which is bad ****.

Imagine having to give up the dollar for some over crap currency...

Sorry about my crap spelling...

At this point, I would totally agree with that. I think it's become increasingly clear to me lately that the Bush administration is no longer representing my personal interests or views as an American citizen on many issues.

It should be clear to those outside the US that Bush's views are not representative of those that many American people hold. Whether or not they represent the majority will be determined in the election in November.

About Tony Blair, all I can say is that my cousins in england
are "disgusted" with Blair, lies, and his support of the US admin
-they say that is the prevailing opinion in england.

I agree with you entirely, and if I could be bothered to write a lot right now I'd really make a big reply but I won't. :)

Blair's a cool guy, I like hearing him speak, and I like the way he looks and dresses. He seems like a very well-to-do politician (and I'm not just basing that on his appearance... I've heard him address the public and private areas of his admin several times). I also like his policies.

Not a bad guy, but far far too liberal for me. I heard a recent speech in which he said part of his plans for his next term included state paid daycare for every child in England. No thanks.

Also, that whole EU think is upsetting. My heart goes out the folks in Europe, who as DarkProdigy pointed out, are losing their sovereignty. I can see how it happened though. Europeans in general have such a tencious apathy towards government (it is growing here in the United States, but remember, Europe is much older than we are), that when the polticticans came up with the "rules" for forming the EU, they specifically stipulated that there was no minium required percent of the population required to enact it because they knew they that they were not going to get anywhere NEAR 50% of the populace to vote. It is supposed to be purely an economic thing, but that turned out to be hogwash. It has become nothing short of "The New World Order", and I fear it is unstoppable.

I believe within 50 years the same thing will happen here in America, with the United States, Canada, and Mexico essentially becoming one country. There are already people who advocate it, and unless things change, it is going to happen. My boy Mr Bush is certainly NOT helping matters with is "Worker's Program" crap. Frightening.

That's an interesing prediction.... And it's very likely... Europe has pretty much gone and done the same thing with the Euro, alliances, etc.... so what's to stop the entire world from becoming one nation? An earth nation of humans. For me, it's kind of hard to grasp that concept, but it is feasible. Let's just hope it won't be like the result in the Omega Code 2 ;D
