On Monday, I had study hall. Since I had no homework, I just decided to rest up a little, cuz I am tired the majority of the time from getting up early, which I'm not naturally hardwired to do. I fell asleep, and I was sitting on my feet. I awoke to the bell, and when I woke up, not one, but BOTH my feet were numb!!!!! I was just said out loud, laughing, "Oh my god! Both my feet are numb! Now I'm going to have to wait to walk so I don't fall flat on my face!" While walking upstairs to chemistry, my legs started to feelfunny. I was scared that I was gonna fall! Well, let's just say that after what happened with the numb foot last summer and falling in result of walking, I wasn't about to walk on TWO numb feet!

i was using a laptop with my legs crossed as a table, sort of, and when i finished after like an hour my whole leg was DEAD and it really really felt like a fake leg. that was fun.

Jeez, you should watch out falling asleep while sitting on your feet!
A few months ago I was surfing the Net and discovered a web site that had a whole thing on "subliminal messages" and one of them was supposed to be a song that had a satanic message buried in it, that you could supposedly hear if you turned the volume up on your computer all the way. So, being an idiot, I cranked up the volume, and I was all hunched over -- sitting on my feet, of course -- with my ear to the spaekers, trying to hear the satanic message .... and then a huge FACE suddenly appeared on the screen and made this terrifying ROARING sound -- the whole thing was a prank, of course -- and I screamed my head off and then, "uhhhhhhhnnnnnnggghhh ..." I fainted. And since I was sitting on my feet I fell head-first to the floor and only by SHEER DUMB LUCK did I manage to avoid actually breaking my neck and dying. In high school we had a teacher who would not let us sit on our feet for this very reason, he'd seen someone faint while sitting on her feet and she broke her neck and wound up paralyzed! And I imagine the same thing could happen from falling asleep ....
So: Be careful!!

once when my son was very small, i had been lying down with him for quite a while to get some much needed rest and the lower half of my body fell asleep. i'm *not* kidding. i was trying not to move much so i wouldn't wake him.
when i finally got up off the bed ... i fell down.
