ANyone ever go to Hawaii? We are not honemooning until next April there (we're mini-honeymooning in Oct for 3 days)

I found this neat treehouse that I thought might be fun to stay in when we visit Maui. What do you think?

i've never been, but i intend to go someday, and i've never heard anything bad about it

i was hoping the treehouse would be up in a tree though, that'd be even cooler. but that place looks great.

I actually just went to Hawaii (Maui) for the first time this past July. We stayed in Wailea, which was really nice (though it's pretty much just hotels there, so we were travelling to Lahaina and Kihei a lot).

I think how much you'll like it really depends more on where you're coming from. I grew up, and have lived my entire life, 5-10 minutes from the beach where we've always had beautiful weather... so it wasn't as impressive when we got to Maui (I think we all expected it to be more tropical, but I guess that's Kauai).

That being said, we still had a LOT of fun! If you're willing to sit through a timeshare presentation, you can book a lot of great activities for MUCH cheaper. Everyone told us that biking down the volcano was great, so we did the sunrise run: they picked us up at the hotel at 2:30am, we got to the top of the volcano (around 8000 feet if I remember correctly) at around 4am, watched the sun rise as we were standing above the clouds, and around 7am we began our trip down (you only have to pedal for like a quarter mile, as it's all down hill). It really was a lot of fun.

The snorkeling was great, but be sure to get the earliest trip out (8am I believe) if you go, as the water is MUCH calmer and you'll most likely see more fish and have a better chance of not getting sick on the boat.

Definitely go to a Luau (great food and a great show, can't beat that)!

...I've got to run to class now, but lemme know if you have any questions.

Nootch, you rock!!!

Thanks for the help, I'm going to print this page out.
We're not going to sit down and actually plan it out until after the wedding for sure. The time we'll be traveling will be late April, early May.
:)
