I dunno what it is, but ever since last year, when August hits, I have these horrible sneezing attacks. Nothing else goes along with it. It's strictly sneezing. Is there something different in the August air that I might possibly be allergic to? I'd sure love to know what the hell it is that's making me sneeze like mad! I don't get it any other month. It starts in the second week of the month. It sucks! I'll have like, 4 sneezing attacks per day (usually 3 or more grand sneezes in a row) I just had one a half hour ago. I remember this one medicine I took last year that really truly helped with my sneezing, but it made me very tired, so I'd have to take a nap. A lot of people in my family (especially my mom and older sister, sept mine aren't half as bad) have allergies, so it might be genetic. I never started showing signs of any type of allergy until I was between the ages of 12-14. I am now 15, and continue sneezing annually.
Anybody else have this problem?

LOL! Making this thread just reminded me of a funny allergy story that happened one night a couple years ago:
My mom and I were over my grandma's house, and grandma had these neighbors that had these bushes full of these pretty flowers. They told mom to help herself to some flowers, and she did. I had some myself. A couple minutes of having them in grandma's house, my nose started feeling a little strange. By the time we got home, my nose was stopped up! We couldn't figure out what it was for the life of ourselves. Well, it turned out I was allergic to the flowers! Mom had to bring them downstairs to the lawyers area! That is so funny now that I look back at it! Thankfully, my nose returned to normal a couple minutes after we got those evil flowers away! It was a bit of a shame, though. They were beautiful flowers.

ditto, ditto, ditto! I thinki maybe it's mold spores in the air or *Something*, but I'm just a big ball of allergies lately. I live near the water (right on the water), and so the humidy and dampness of things inside the house, i have a feeling, has something to do with it.

I sneeze like it's my job lately. And it's those stupid looking delayed -- let-me-stand-here-with-my-eyes-rolled-back-midway-and-my-mouth-gaped-open-and-body-convulsing-waiting to-SNEEZE! type sneezes. The big obnoxious ones that at times send me sailing backwards.

This happened at the same time last year, and hit full force while I'd be in the campaign office. Who knows how many thank you letters for contributions I sneezed on -- how many germs I routed round-state. "Here little kid, have a balloon with my candidate's name on i----aa---a---ahhh--chOOOOOO" (picture child flying back 10 feet). You know, things like that.

My point being, I hate this August allergy problem. Maybe it's a New England thing.

August is the month where my eyes itch...alot. I get September and October free, then November comes with the sneezing.

It's ragweed season. My allergies get bad this time of year too, although I still have them year round...

I've been pretty good which is unusual for me. I usually get allergies around this time. Every year I'd get these sneezing fits as well but I've been taking an allergy pill year round so that must be helping.

Every year, the polen count and other allergy causing things out there are getting worse and worse. More and more peopel that don't usually get allergies are getting allergies. Looks like you are a victom now!

KNS> I've had those sneezes too that make you just stand there like you are frozen while suspended in mid sneeze but it the feel of the sneeze is there and it must come out...and boy does it come out!! Those make me laugh all the time. I'll even have the ones that make you inhale start to sneeze, but the feeling goes away. A few seconds later, the feeling comes back, I inhale start the sneeze face, but it goes away. Then seconds later when I dont' expect it, the sneeze just shoots out! I barely get enough time to do the sneeze introductory breathing anymore and almost can't even cover up it's so fast!

I can't stand those stubborn sneezes! I don't like doing those in front of people, cuz I look like a compelte dork just standing there frozen, mouth gaping open, with this odd face expression

I should consider allergy pills, but currently, I am taking these sinus piils that are really helping.

same here. my allergies started back in may sometime, right before finals. it was terrible, i also couldn't wear my contacts because my eyes were burning so bad, and my nose was so plugged up and runny, constantly sneezing...

i went to the health center and they perscribed some zyrtec, which works well
