He feels that he should never have to pay child support… so of course I took his butt down to the DA’s office.
He says he has to work on weekends to pay child support and that is why he is unable to see his daughter.
Then he had the audacity to say… in the same breath, “I’m doing this for her cause if I don’t I’ll go to jail”.
Well which is it? For her, or to keep is backside out of jail?
Whenever he is with her he never spends quality time playing with her. Sits her in front of the TV and tells her he will play with her later which he never does.
AHHHHGHGHGHGHGHGGHHHHH! OK I’m done I’m just pissed off, but mostly because I gave my child a father just like mine. I guess I’m just feeling like I failed her somehow.
She and I have good relationship though, and I’m grateful for that, but ohhh, when it comes to him I would love to shove a boot were the sun don’t shine!
Thank you... i'm done now... i think

You haven't failed her!
You love her and she knows it. She's got a good parent and that's what matters ;D. So her father is a schmuck. It would be much nicer if he were to actually see what a wonderful thing it can be to have a daughter and be a father to her. But if he doesn't, then at least be happy he pays up....whatever the reason. Eitherway she has you to look up to and that is wonderful!
You never know he may live up to his responcibilities and actually look forward to the time he spends with her...some day.

Thanks, but the part of all this that just cracks me up; I never would have taken him to the DA if he would have just spent quality time with her. Showed up when he said he would. I can totally live without the money, although it is building a trust fund for her so that is good, but I believe my motivation was to get back at him.
Money is all he really thinks about, so I just hit were it hurts him the most. He won’t even show his child enough respect to not smoke in front of her. She hates it, and he just laughs at her when she says anything about it. He sees her so little; you would think he could do that one thing.
I have official moved from anger to sadness, but she is strong and so am I. I appreciate having a place to really let this out without. Thanks!

yeah don't be too hard on yourself... you'll never fail your daughter as long as you keep thinking about her needs and putting them before your own.
I hate it when a parent doesn't take responsibility of their own kid. I find it disgusting that anyone is able to complain about paying child support.

i agree. a friend of mine recently had to take her ex-boyfriend to court to get him to pay $300/mo. in child support. and it's not like she's spending the money on herself. it all goes to the kid.

Unfortunately the farts wouldn’t faze him. His SH stinks so badly he wouldn’t notice.
The probe though, that would get his attention…..
I’m of course a little miffed right now because he is blowing her off, AGAIN!
She doesn’t care. He called last night and she just rolled her eyes and referred to him by his first name. Made me want to cry she is only 7 and she is completely detached from him.
