Try calling Pioneer again and asking to speak with a customer service *manager*, i.e. someone who might be the boss of the moron you talked to. Bosses are often a lot more help than a moron (spoken like a true boss http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif )
If that doesn't help, scrounge up an address and in writing ask for a replacement manual...
And if worse comes to worse, call some local electronics stores - in particular the one you bought your DVD player from - and ask if there's any way they can snag an extra one for you.
And, thanx to my ever-handy web browser, I found a link whereby you can order replacement parts - perhaps even a replacement manual. Check out:

Do you have the DV-F727? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Home_2000/dv-f727.htm
Looks shiny! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif And definitely the kind of equipment you need a manual for.

Thank you.
I have tried that link (this weekend) and it's not there as far as I can see...I will have to try again...just don't have the time to be on hold for another 2 hours.
Yes. The DV F727. Damned woman said it didn't exist. Stupid people need to be taken to a planet of their own.

Our owners manual for our 301 disc DVD changer has disappeared.
We bought the DVD player a good few months ago.
I call Pioneer to ask for a replacement manual and they say they don't have any information on my player so they can't send me anything. Hello? They don't even have this thing in their computers?! What the hell is that?!
So now there are certain features and what not we can't use because we don't know what they do!
The woman was rude as **** and wouldn't do anything for me. She said it must be really new and I told her it wasn't. She pretty much shut me out then.
I want to scream!

Well, well? Wha' hoppen'?
And how do you like that model? How's the sound/video quality? Is it something I & my siblings should consider getting our parents for Christmas? They have a very old CD-player, and no DVD player yet, and a 301 changer would keep 'em happy till...well, for a long time at least. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

It's wonderful! We love it. Eventually we'll get another one and hook them together to have 602. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif
But we like the quality and features and all.
And my owner's manual is on the way to me. YAY! THANK YOU!
DEFINITELY consider it for Christmas...
If you live in the NYC area I'll tell you where to get it and if you don't you can still get it from these people dirt cheap.

I helped? Cool! One of my posts was actually helpful! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif Glad I *could* help!
I'm in Rochester NY - a bit of a drive from the city - but I'd still be interested in hearing whatever info you've got. Thanx, liltaz!

We got it from a place but I've just found it cheaper (now, a good few months later) try going to the following link:
http://www.mysimon .com/electronics/dvd_players/Compare?c=dvd&InputMerchant=yes&InputModel=DVF727&InputManufacturer=Pioneer&Key=UC_20000711_082901_0335242 533 (http://www.mysimon.com/electronics/dvd_players/Compare?c=dvd&InputMerchant=yes&InputModel=DVF727&InputManufacturer=Pioneer&Key=UC_20000711_082901_0335242 533)
they should all be listed there (model DVF727 from Pioneer)
When I got mine it was $650 while all other stores (the very few that had it) had it for over $1000.
Now it looks as though prices are under $600.
http://www.buydig.com/ seems to be the best place to get it ($583) and by Christmas you'll be paying pennies for it.
