I can't get my "Soup" fix during the day!

I just started my new job today, and I won't have computer access for at least a few more weeks. I'm supposed to be issued a laptop for use in and out of the office, but instead of ordering mine when I accepted the offer, the HR guy just got the email today about me being a new hire, and didn't get the order for the laptop in until this afternoon.
He said it will be at least 3-4 weeks until it comes in. Since I also don't have a desktop computer at my desk, I won't have access to log in during the day and check the messages on here. I'll have to wait until I get home.

I'm sorry that you're not getting your soup. I would go crazy at work if I couldn't be on here all the time. I guess that since I'm new, they aren't coming to me with stuff for me to do too often. That sucks. At least they're not restrictive about where you go, though. Just tell the guy who's ordering the laptop to put a rush on it!

Since there's really nothing for us to do at the moment, and we're all studying for our certification exams while we're waiting for some clients, one of the guys here is letting me use his laptop while he's studying.

Looks like I may still be able to check in periodically, but not often.

Actually, I just found out that I have to go to Chicago for 3 days next week, and it's highly doubtful that I'll have my laptop before then, so it looks like I may have some more gaps in my frequent visitation schedule.
