You **MUST** go see "The Patriot"
If that doesn't stir your blood up I don't know what to say

I liked the movie. I recommend people everywhere to experience the harshness of combat and life during the revolution.

My family & I checked it out on the 4th - a very patriotic thing to do, I must say...http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif...
I thought it was a rehash of Braveheart...not that that's a bad thing, as I *really* liked Braveheart. But, if you *didn't* like Braveheart, chances are you won't like the Patriot.
I saw a special on the History Channel on Saturday, they re-broadcast a 6-hour series on the Revolutionary War...the evil smarmy British cavalry guy really existed - he & his unit did wage a scorched earth campaign in the south. I don't know if the movie accurately portrays much else, but smarmy British cavalry guy was based off of a real-life fellow.
I thought that was a cool touch. And a cool movie!

yes, the evil british guy existed. There were news stories where that place over there in UK was asking for an apology from Mel because they said the guy he portrayed wasn't really that evil and they were upset over his portrayal of they guy.
I want to see this movie.
