If these people need the money so bad, why don't they just get a job?

It's not just a two bedroom house, it's limited hot water supply, dealing with people you'll probably hate, no privacy...I just could not have my day to day activities monitored by any dip with a computer or TV.

I think if I were guaranteed the money if I were to survive a bunch of bad things, I'd go for it...

doesn't look like big brother is doing too well in the ratings. personally, i think this show sucks. watched it for five minutes yesterday and changed the channel.

It was supposed to be a runaway hit, but "Big Brother"--that voyeuristic show from CBS that put 10 strangers in a house equipped with 28 television cameras and about three times that number of microphones--could be dead in the water less than a week after its debut. Panic time at CBS? "Big Brother" started out with 22.4 million viewers, then fell the next night to 11.6 million. Friday's audience topped out at 8.6 million, and Saturday's recap of the week's events drew just 6.5 million--less than a third of Wednesday's watchers. CBS has committed to airing the show five nights a week through the end of September. The network insists it isn't worried, figuring the show will be revived when the "house guests" start voting each other out. Not everyone agrees. "They are going to have a really hard time turning this around," said Marc Berman, a TV analyst for Media Week Online. "It's pretty grisly." CBS says it has no plans to retool the show or alter its schedule.
