No, spidey, you don't get sick from cold air. I read/heard about some study where they stood people out nekkid and wet in the snow to see if that gave them pnuemonia. It didn't. I hope you feel better, though! Hit the zinc! (Just not too much of it.)

It screws up your body somehow, but I don't currently remember what it does. I'll look it up and post a link if I find it.

"Is there any harm in sucking along with the crowd? For most of us, probably not. But some researchers urge caution for people with hemochromatosis, a disorder in which the body absorbs abnormally large quantities of iron and other metals, including zinc. "We know of no metal that isn't toxic when it accumulates, and it's hard to imagine zinc being any different," says James Barton, a physician and researcher at the Southern Iron Disorders Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Barton, who specializes in the disease, suggests that the 1 million Americans with hemochromatosis and their family members (who may also be at risk) find other cold remedies. "
It also says it can cause nausea.

I was sick last week for 2 days and have been stuck with an annoying cough and a stuffed up nose since then. Luckily I don't have sick lings to tend to, but it still sucks.

i totally agree, even though you feel like crap in the morning, because of them sleeping sideways in the bed (why do kids do that)?
jourgenson> the blasted runny/stuffy nose i can almost live with. it's the cough that lingers - *that* i hate; and it always seems to get worse when you're trying to sleep.
Hey I hope you get better soon, Spidey- and hope I can see you the last hr hopefully of that party on Saturday! :)
