time to be materialistic! no wanting to be smarter or anything like that. so what do you want mpst? within reason mind you. something that you could quite feasibly expect to get this holiday season if only someone knew to get it for you. :D
Lets see . . . .
Palm Pilot
Monitor
DVD Drive for my computer
mabe even a couple DVD's if I get the above
Other stuff I forgot at this time

I'm really pushing for a CD burner, and if there's anything left over, enough cash to get tickets for the National Folk Festival 2002.

::sigh:: Cash. I have lots of yucky bills. (Therefore, I have taken my maxed out credit cards out of my wallet and am attempting to forget where I put them.)
 Aww, mthr, dam* those evil credit cards- just try to just keep one for the internet
Cash sounds good, as well as cd's, a silver chain and some pampering items (ie. bubble bath, vict. secret, massage gift cert.)

I just want to get out of my girlfriend's parents house and be able to move into my own house.
I know it's supposed to happen on the 20th, but that's going to be the best thing that I can get for the holidays.

i want new clothes and shoes :D
don't you wish people would actually *ask* what *you* want for christmas? people never do that for me. they always end up getting me something that i have to return. not that i'm being ungrateful, or anything. it's just annoying sometimes.

Heheh..my family *does* ask..they just don't usually listen. Well..most of them ask. For a few years now, Daddy's been giving me snow globes. WTF am I gonna do with snowglobes?
He-He!
I do not need anything on these holidays :)
Really, I have all that I need in this life...
:snowman:
But ... I will very appreciate somebody, who will gift for me : mitter saw, table saw, curcular saw and bush trimmer

or even worse, when they DO ask you and then get you something that not only isnt on the list, but isnt even close to anything on the list! this girl brandi i know is a perfect example.
one year our friend told her she wanted this dress for christmas. brandi said that was too expensive. understandable. instead she bought a bunch of crappy little gifts that totaled more than the dress. this girl also got me this book of stories inspired by the crow. it is no secret that i hate the crow, so why the hell would anyone think i would like any store that was inspired by it???
::sigh::
i think i most want the bag that i told my sister in law i wanted, the hello kitty fleece throw, and the robotech masters dvds.
I hate trying to figure out what to ask for. I always feel guilty because everything that I need/want is quite expensive. That is why half the time I just let them guess. I normaly get a new wardrobe for Christmas. Which is fine by me, since I dont really every buy clothes

ugh. this happens to me a lot. it can be frustrating. it's almost like i'd rather not get anything then.
one year i got a t-shirt that was size extra small :| EXTRA SMALL?? i'm five foot TEN. helloo?? bueller? i ended up giving it to my daughter to wear as a nightgown.
as you can tell, this is a bit of a sore spot w/me as i always try to get people on my list exactly what i think they'll like/need.
another peeve of mine is when you specifically ask them what they want and they say "nothing." when you *know* this is not true, because if you bought them NOTHING, they'd get MAD anyway :grrrrr:

My parents still haven't realised that I'm a bit old for surprises, and instead of $50 worth of crappy little gifts from "Santa", which they still love to carry on about, I'd just rather the $50 went towards getting me the CD burner..

Hahaha.. Amen to both of those. Daddy, God bless him, is giving me gold coins now.
Additionally, cash is still a good option - we have furniture to pay off ;)
Um..shinies are fun.
And picture frames. I have so much stuff I need to frame. Then you can also give me more wall space to hang said pictures.

I could name at least 20 dvd's off the top of my head . . . and those are only the ones I can think of

Swiss, what if someone gives me like speedos or something? Still want it? :D
Sure, you can have 'em. I only want [a] card, at most.
*shrugs* :)
Actually, there is something I wouldn't mind getting. One of the car radar things... you know, so when it beeps you slow down, only to realize it was just a stoplight or another radar from another car. Then when you don't slow down, it's a Police Officer, and you get pulled over. Yeah, one of those. :D

You mean a radar *detector*?
I actually just got an incredible one. Did a lot of research, and this one came out consistently on top. I couldn't find one negative comment about it. Took it on a trip to Maine, and it even gave me a 10 second warning on a laser trap in Boston.
Be specific in your request to your loved ones, so you don't get a cheap one that warns you 5 seconds after you got tagged.

I'd love to have an Apple 23" Cinema Display... but that's way too expensive to get as a gift. Next on the list would be the Bluetooth phone kit for my car, so I can answer calls and do voice dialing from the steering wheel. I usually just end up getting cash for xmas and my birthday, so I might actually be able to buy that for myself this year!

I've been wanting a V1 for almost 3 years now... but I just can't justify the 400 bones (I've never been pulled over, so I guess I'm hoping I'll just continue to be lucky). I really don't speed too much though, and I think having a V1 would give me reason too (which is a bad thing, right?).
I've seen some really cool V1 installations though... one guy had the detector in the rear ceiling liner of his car (you can't see it or tell that it's there), and then he mounted the arrow LEDs inside the rearview mirror (in the corner, but right in the mirrored part). It was seriously impressive!

Varies by state. Radar detectors are not illegal in California, but jammers are (but I imagine they are illegal in all states).

YEAH!! One of those doolie daddles. :D
I got my first, and hopefully last, speeding ticket not too long ago. I have a tendency, when I have to go pee extremely bad, or when I'm falling asleep on the highway, to speed, so I can get home fast. Because, my fiancee lives 2 hours away, and I have to drive across Alligator Alley. Oh joy.. what a FUN trip that is. Not. And Policeman like to sit in the median and watch for speeders. Well I was averaging 100 MPH (70MPH zone) one time, and got caught while doing 91, so I got a huge ticket. Bleh.
There are a LOT of Police Officers all around down here, so I figure having one when you have a lead foot would be a good thing. And it's not to prove myself, the speeding, it's because that's just what ends up happening. *shrugs* Whatever.

maybe if you're falling asleep going real fast is not the answer

It helps keep me awake actually. Because I get more aware, because I know I'm awake. Aware = awake. Hence, more awake. Yup.

Um..Alligator Alley is a very poor place to speed. There's jack-all nothing around there, so if you get in trouble, you're effed. I would recommend pullling off at the Indian-run store thingie to pee and get massive caffeine instead of speeding. Just my $.02 from having lived around there..

It's like 100 miles, and 3 rest areas. I stop at every one to pee, and I drink caffeine every time, doesn't always work. :(
I like Alligator Alley. Fun drive though. :)
I'm more interested in the fiance part of the story. How old are you again, and what are you up to? :)
