We've all been in these types of situations where our bodies deliver a liter too much adrenaline into our systems and we start feeling near invincible. We all have our reason and for reulgar people ours' are quite foolish. Mine is too.
I'm lonely. I'm not alone, but I feel lonely. I've got friends and family, but there's a hole in my soul. I think I need someone that I can express all my thoughts to, but I don't know what to do. Someone like a girlfriend, but then... I don't know how I could get one in this time of need. Relationships often lack speed. Can anyone help me now? Or am I doomed to fall? I hope that I can calm my fears and be strong enough to delay the tears.

i think we've all felt like that at one time or another. i know i have. you seem like a pretty dynamic person anyways, so that prolly makes it more difficult sometimes.
if you need to "voice" your feelings, you know you can come here at least :)

Hey Foru2ctoo dont know if this will help or not but..........
everyone has felt this way, like spider says. My mom (who was a very cool person) alway told me the most important thing was to like yourself. "As long as you like who you are, youll be allright." She was right!
Relationships dont usually happen when you want them too. They happen when they happen and thats that.
Hang in there and appreciate who YOU are all on your own and when the time is right, there will be that special person who can appreciat it too. ;)

It's the the wait. You can sit there and imagine whether it will happen or not and then you realize that things don't happen by doing nothing. You then decide that you should pursue the matter and try to make it happen instead of just waiting for it to happen. Patience is the key. Right? I'll find out when the time comes.

good advice from aaa!
i guess the moral here is: "good things happen to those who wait."
most importantly, don't forget to just try to take time out to enjoy the little things and the rest will fall into place ... omg, i sound like my mother.

Hrm. Keeping stuff bottled up isn't good, so if you have to, just sit down and bawl for a little while. You'll get snotty and puffy, but it'll make you feel better a lot of the time. Or, write in a journal. I know it's "girlie" and all that crap, but when I'm fighting with my boyfriend, and he has no desire to listen to me rehash the same old junk, it helps me out. If you want, you can even email me :) I may not be your girlfriend, but I'm a pretty good listener.

Geez..be a little supportive of the poor guy, why don't you. I'd say that was just a wee bit harsh.

i've felt the way he felt.. think i was at a worse stage than where he is though.. and the way i got out of it was going back to church for a while... it pulled me right out.. if i didn't get my ass to church i probably would've tried to kill myself *shurg*

I do feel bad, but I've already come to realize that death is not a solution. It is never a solution. Life can be harsh, at times, but that's no reason to give up hope. If everyone knew this we would have a much lower suicide count.

:http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gifoes a happy dance that you're not going to shoot yourself::
I know that this is gonna sound stupid, but I've given this advice before, and it's acutally worked. Smile. Fake smiling and being happy. Eventually, you might actually start smiling for real.

I've always found it tough to find one person to fill a spiritual hole. Mainly because there's a lot going on in my life when I realize there's a hole...each little event - or lack thereof - adds together to make the hole bigger.
So I try to find different friends to fill different parts of the hole. I can talk to Rich about work, Travis about relationships, Julie about family...some friends are movie friends, others are softball friends...and having that support group means I put less pressure on a girlfriend to fulfill every role that's out there.
It's great that so many posters on the board have come forward to say you could talk to them, either via the board or via Email. Heck, I'd go so far as to say that if I've got my ICQ, AIM, Email, and website addy public, that I'm available to talk. This really is a great community of folks, and if you're as down as your post would have us believe, then I'm glad you've availed yourself of the opportunity to connect with other members.
Keep the faith, bud...there are more people out there like yourself than you realize...and we all want to know the answer to your question, too...the best we can do is share what we've found already. :)

Wow, everyone here has such great advice :) Basically I agree with everyone here about what to do.
Foru2ctoo> The main thing is don't give up! Be yourself and let things happen. It'll come to you but if the opportunity knocks, you gotta answer it for something to happen. Hehe sorry for the proverb thing but you understand. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to speak in here, and I think it's great that we all can talk like this in here. It's what this forum is for http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/angel.gif
Let us know how things are going! We are here for you :)

The best advice I can give is that now is the time to become as involved as possible. I learned from experience that you can't force a relationship just when you want one. You have to look at it from a female's angle. Who would the go out with? Well, the stereotypical answer is someone who is cute, funny, happy, and full of life. Well, the last two are easily controlled and they have an impact on the first two. So go out, be full of life, and find stuff you enjoy doing. You will meet someone....gauranteed. I did.
Good luck.
