AHHHH.. it's been about a yr and a half since i've driven(parents have been out of the country so no car.. i'm in college full time making no money).. I just got a car 3 weeks ago and i've seen myself do some stupid risky moves that i never would've done 1yr ago.. Is this the result from playing too much computer games??? think i've lost the part of my brain that tells me what i'm about to do is stupid.. argh...

my driving skills resemble that of crash bandicoot team racing and as long as there is nobody else on the road then GREAT!

Earlier this year, my boyfriend's car broke down on the interstate. A few days later, he, I, and the guy we were living with went to go pick it up from the side of the road. Since his car died, we had to tie it to the other guy's car so it could be pulled. What we didn't realize was how extensive the break down was. For some reason, his breaks weren't working, so he had to use the emergency break to stop, which meant that we kept coming dangerously close to the other guy's car. He had to have some really fast reaction times, and he credited the fact that we made it home without smashing into anything on his years of video game playing, so maybe letting video games influence your driving isn't *too* bad.

Okay, I get the feeling that this post doesn't make much sense, but I'm tired and babbling and bored..sorry http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

It really depends on what games you've been playing and how much they're affecting your driving.
Need for Speed - You're just driving too fast. Slow down.
Grand Theft Auto - You're driving a different car every 2 minutes. Get your own car.
Carmeggedon - People are not speed bumps. Stop driving immediately.

Hope that helped.http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

no no no.. i don't play driving games.. it's first person shooters like counterstrike that i play most.. i think that i'm so used to taking risks in counterstrike(running in between buildings while under fire) i don't think twice when i'm driving... what happened that promted me to post the first msg was cuz i was almost gonna miss an offramp on a LA freeway and a RV was kinda blocking my path.. so stupidly.. instead of slowing down.. i accelerated to about 85mph and cut in front of the winabagel just barely missing it.. i hit the off ramp at about 90mph.. *sigh* i never whould have done that a couple yrs ago.. *shrug*

No one's dead, that's the important thing, I guess.
