Well, watched the movie Six Sense again. This time on video with the "Clues & Rules" clip. What did you think about that?

I was wondering why that B***h was wearing red at her daughters funeral. But not sure I like them to explain everything. Do you?
Dont you think sometimes its best to analyze it for yourself?

Just a rambling thought brought to you by:AAA.

Yeah, I like things left up to the imagination myself usually. Like with the Blair Witch Project. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

I don't mind hearing what the director had on his mind though, I love director's commentaries on DVD as well. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/indiff.gif

Tell me about this clues and rules thing on video?

I hope I dont give too much away.........but here are two examples.

The color red connected it to the supernatural (ie doorknob, red carpet,clothing..)

When the ghosts were angry it got cold, Bruce was not angry so the kid never got cold around him.

A- When you watched Blair Witch did you think it was a "Hollywood MovIe" or a students project????????

spidergoolash: You'll love the movie. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/tongue.gif

AAA: I knew it was a hollywood production several weeks in advance.. Trade papers, various internet sites gave it away, etc. but it was still spooky first time I saw it cause I would forget while I was watching. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif

Now as for the sequel, and the prequel coming out this year & next year respectfully, who knows how spooky they'll be!

I don't even want to see the prequel for that.

Until we were walking out of the movie and I mentioned something about it seeming so real, my SO thought it WAS real (all he'd heard was the hoopla about it being real and all that).

Re: Blair Witch> Yeah, to get a real sense of the movie, you either had to think it was real, or keep in mind the effect the filmmakers were going for.
Going in expecting a hollywood production ruins the mood, and the impression you have of the movie suffers if you go in thinking like that.

I liked the clues and rules. I went back and watched it several times afterwards to see how well they did.

Always an Alien - > You did give away too much. You should either put a spoiler disclaimer at the beginning of your post or delete out the cold ghosts part.

I think I've seen the Sixth Sense close to a dozen times, and each time pick up a little clue or nuance here & there I didn't see before.

While I did like the Sixth sense, I didn't love it.
While I am trying not to Include any real SPOILERS, If you haven't seen it you may as well not read the rest.

First of all I guessed the ending. Then I hoped that I was wrong, because I thought that was way too easy of a direction to go. Too cliche or something. Secondly, I think if you watch it again that it doesn't work.

be warned again of SPOILERS below!

They relied too much on generalities like "they only see what they want to see." Sure I guess that can explain just about anything, but weakly. I feel that Kubrick or even Spielberg would have wanted something better.

Then again I may be too picky.

American Beauty SPOILER to follow. again don't read if you still haven't seen that.

For instance I like American Beauty, but HATE http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/mad.gif the fact that they broke what I consider to be a film rule. The dead cannot narrate! There are possible exceptions such as a film that has angels or ghosts etc or the undead, but in all other apsects of this film are at least physically realistic.

The film A Clockwork Orange (SPOILER ahead, but it's too late for you if you haven't seen this already)http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/aliensmile.gif is narrated, by a character who you completely expect to die. But, since he is narrating, you know that Kubrick has given you a clue that he will not die at least not before we catch up with the time of the narration and then pass it (although that didn't happen here).

I do like those 2 films, but feel they are flawed.

I really like the Blair Witch Project. I went to it as much to see how they did it as to see the film. The director's commentary on the DVD is a must-see as they go through and discuss how they did just about everything which is great for this film.

Unfortunately, it's probably too late for you to really get a good appreciation of the movie, considering all of the inside info has already been passed around ad naseaum.

Hmmm, I thought Blair Witch was boring. It was obvious to me that it wasn’t what they were presenting and

*MAJOR SPOILER*

I figured that Jason was just driven crazy by the ghost like the rest of the people that lived up there and he killed the other two. The witch was the puppet tier, Jason the puppet. At least if I remember correctly I think that was his name.

Wait, I’m totally off topic here aren’t I? this is about Sixth sense.

Great movie but I felt like a nitwit at the end. All of a sudden it all fell into place and was so obvious, and yet, I missed it completely.
