My department is moving to another wing of the building next week. My work partner managed to score a map of the layout yesterday. She and I are directly across from the two biggest bosses in the department (which is 120 people)! Ugh! They'll be able to see directly into our cubicles from their desks.

Not like we're slackers or screw-ups...we always get our work done, and we're not spending time surfing the 'net or anything like that...but we do occasionally have our little chit-chats amongst each other, and it looks like we're going to have to put a stop to that. (of course, we're already working on a secret code so we can discuss a few things while sounding like we're talking about work...http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif)

And it's not even lack of seniority, because I've been there 2 months, she's been there 4 months, and there have been 10 new people start in the past 3 weeks.

I'll survive, but I just felt like complaining about it a bit http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif

that does suck.. you should rig little curtains or something for your cubicle "doors"

There is nothing worse then having the boss looking over your sholder all the time. I believe that all workers need a little freedom to be truly productive. Hopefully they wont bug you much.

Well, we checked things out again yesterday (they're getting closer to finishing putting all the cubes together). Based on all the doorway openings, and looking at a blueprint of how the desks will be, it won't be as bad as we thought. It's possible it might even be a good thing, since we'll be pretty visible to the higher-ups...

I still want curtains now, though :toocool:
