Cheers guys 98 and rising should make 90 in 5 days! Our team is nearing Picard - ten days should do it, so keep folding for the Alien http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
Ack. Not sure what's up, must be catching things in a lul, since daily total [as of the Noon update] is only 465 and I'm only 5 wu behind DD for the day. Better get a move on Dan!

Nothing has changed, but I noticed that I'm not getting credited for all of the work units I'm sending back. The other day, there was a problem with the server taking back work units. I ended up sending back 7, but didn't get any credit for any completed WUs for 2 updates following that.
I don't think they've hammered out all of the issues with the new proteins just yet.
But keep your eyes peeled. I may have just dozed off, but I haven't fallen asleep. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

Damn, DD sure seemed to have taken a dump. Up from 95 to 225 for day-totals. Dan, don't you know it's not good to keep things blocked up like that? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif

No, I really mean what I say. Isn't a more natural even flow better then times of slow and fast action?

It's not like I'm running a race.
As long as I'm able to get in any extra work units, any pace I can manage will be fine, whether it's smooth or in spurts.
Believe me, if I got a spike of 100 work units, and it ruined my nice even graph, I wouldn't complain a bit! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

Perhaps, but can't you sustain the 225 WU a day? And have peaks of 325? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/eyes.gif

That would be nice if I could, but people keep shutting down F@H on the work machines when I'm not in, and I can't really do anything to control that. It's not business-essential software, and if they feel inclined to shut it down, I'm not going to tell them not to, especially since they're my coworkers. But that's also not going to stop me from firing it back up when they leave. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

Why not rename F@H something like "kernel.exe" ? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/eyes.gif

Because that's not the point. I'm running it on those systems under the condition that it be completely non-invasive. If one of the other guys needs to use that computer, and finds it in the way at all, I'm not going to stop him from shutting it down so he can get his work done. Even if he's uncomfortable with something as simple as an extra entry in Task Manager, I'm not going to tell him to just ignore it. If he doesn't want it running while he's using the system, I don't want it to get in his way.
