It's still a little early to see where we'll top off on weekly production, since I had about 4 days of downtime, and once I got back up, I've been pumping out some serious units.
Hopefully, we'll start to gain some ground on some of the other teams. Currently, we're over 4000 weekly units. Of the teams that are currently outproducing us, only 2 teams have less than double the number of active members as us. This means that in terms of production per person, we are one of the strongest teams in the world.
Only one team, Forum Hardware.FR, is producing more work unit per active member per week than we are (323.214 vs. 322.623), but we're really close to moving past them in weekly production.
On a personal level, I'll be upgrading on of my home servers from a Celeron 500@563 to a Celeron-2 766@???, so that should offer a nice speed boost on that system, and Dana's system will be going from a Celeron 400@500 to the same Celeron2 766@???, so the team should benefit on a whole from that. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
We can still use more members, so see what you can do. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

We have so nearly passed them in weekly production and are 20 units per member ahead now, and what's more after an embarassing few hours I am ahead of Dan again in the daily figureshttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/reddevil.gif
Should have a bit of a pickup when I get my third and fourth systems back online sometime this weekend.
But wow, Charles is wooping your butt DD!

Someone shut down some of my work systems, so that's why there's a dropoff. Should see a little surge sometime this week, especially considering that the number of machines I have at work has now doubled.
They'll only be up part-time, so Charles still has a chance. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
Plus, the aforementioned upgrades at home... http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/tongue.gif

Next week I should get two more 933 machines to replace the ones cruelly "stolen" by users for business purposes (got to be careful - don't want to risk any live machines) so perhaps I can recover to the front page of the top 1000 users (when sorted by week) currently languishing only four places ahead of Dan in 29thhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/frown.gif

My real problem is that I can't keep those machines up for a full week, so the full output can never be realized if I should be able to get all of those machines set up.
It's like I'll have a super surge for 2-3 days, and then a huge dropoff in production. I'll still maintain respectable levels considering the systems I have firing away at home, but compared to the guys running system farms at their office, I can't compete.

I'm cracking up at how inappropriately the US Government has acted about Code Red. A few of our customers got hit with it a few weeks back, and we cleaned them up within 30 minutes. The US Government is still out there warning people that it *could* still hit, and that we all need to watch out.
It's frightening that we barely needed to notify our customers about the severity of the outage, and the Government of the United States is helping to spread panic and misinformation.
It's called "ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE" people. Use it. It's your friend.

Heh, it's not like Apache for Windows costs that much. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
IIS, Outlook, et al are nothing more than virus delivery systems. Whenever possible, I use a third-party alternative to the MS-provided solution.
