You're absolutely right that every little bit counts. If you look at half of the teams in front of us, we're averaging more production per user than they are, but they're outproducing us simply because they have 4-5x the active users that we do.
Even if we can only get 5 more people who are capable of producing 10 work units a week (which isn't much at all), that's 50 more work units each week that we wouldn't otherwise have.

PIT is a perfect example of how much of an impact persistence can make. He freely states how he doesn't have a fast machine, but he still folds. He's given us 94 work units to date that we never would have seen otherwise.
Without those 94 work units, someone else would've had to have done them, so not only is he doing great things for our team, but the project as well.

no, me and my friends have our own little website, we just posts pics and things of our weekends out, and just generally speak to each other when we are supposed to be working etc.

So, it is the best way to bring it to all their attentions at once (although a few are on holiday at the moment) hopefully it will get another few people signed up for us.

Couple of things happened with me today, some good, some not so good.

First, I noticed that my dual P3-750@900 system BSOD'd. Don't know when it happened, so I don't know how long it was down, but it's working now, so my production should kick up a notch.

Second, I got my new Gateway server, so it's replacing my Celeron 700 system (don't have enough room in my office or on my KVM for both). Once I get it running, I'll likely be getting a second CPU for it, so that'll be 2 933's instead of one 700. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif

ukliam&gt; That's a great idea. You should definitely try and get some of your friends onboard with the team. If they have any questions, direct them to this forum, since most of the questions are probably answered already. Congrats to Charles for moving into the #2 position.
but it looks like we have someone trying to overtake us, Team Rage3D are producing almost twice as much as us (I know they have 4x the amount of users, but I am not up for letting them past) I will be posting a message on the forums myself and a load of my friends have, I will try to get as many of them to sign up as possible, all only have standard home machines, that are not connected all the time but every little helps.

Finally decided that I'm going to try to add the Celeron 700 back into the mix by setting it up as a headless system (no keyboard, mouse, or monitor).
I still have plenty of room on my switch, although it's getting cramped, but that's why I have 2 16-port'ers in my closet.

Anyway, I'm going to try getting it to boot without a keyboard or mouse, and control it remotely with either VNC or Remote Administrator. If it goes well, I might have a few more systems I can try to add in this way, but it's going to depend on space and heat, since my office doesn't have AC, and the 7 systems I already have in that room generate a ton of heat.
