Sorry that my last post seemed to violate the rules. I figured that you could post anything at all in the Water Cooler. It seems a little Communist to stop people from spreading the word about other forums, but I won't do that again.

But I am a little bit pissed off that someone assumed that I would never visit Alien Soup again. I have visited Alien Soup often, but usually just browsing, and yesterday I created a new name so that people would recognize that I was posting about my own forum. I am an active participant at AnandTech forums, and would be just as active here except that the Networking forum, which is my favorite at Anand, has only 3 threads. I'll probably find another forum soon...

And for your information, AlienSoup is the only forum other than AnandTech which knows about my forums, and I don't plan to post about it to any others. It isn't meant to compete, but to augment, since most of the major forums don't allow such freedom in posting (as I have already seen).

I have absolutely no problems with someone spreading the word about their own forums, UNLESS that person is only utilizing their account on various BBS's solely for that purpose. I've seen it happen that way far too many times between the various boards I frequent.
If you intend on coming to this forum, and making a productive contribution to the board, I will welcome you with open arms.
I honestly hope that will be the case.
