Introducing, Myself.

Hey, my name is Palmeiro. I love message boards, and I'm currently the Admin at the forums over at One Minute Left. Yeah, they used to be a kick ass set of forums thanks to SupaDawg, he's the man, but we had a hacker and they got deleted, after he quit, and our current cgi guy is new to the game and he dont know much. My name Palmeiro comes from my friends nick name, some people think I'm brazilian for some reason, but nah, im from wisconsin. Here's the story on my name:

My real name is Ralph. So, my friends, trying to be the smart asses they are, started calling me raphael. Well, we watch a lot of sports together, and on this particular day, we were watching a Rangers (baseball) Game. Well a little ways into the game, Raphael Palmeiro came up to bat. That was it, I was branded Palmeiro. Then I signed up here one, and never got the password at the email address I gave, so I think I might have typed it in wrong. Anyways, I just went with the Nick name people give me over at OML. Palm.

So here I am, Palm OML Admin. I've heard really good things about these forums from SupaDawg and Victoronehalf and from other people. So I thought I'd check it out.

Hope to become good friends with you guys and contribute into some nice disscussions. Thanks!

But anyways is right...I don’t know you very well at all Vic, but based on what I’m seeing you’ve been with AlienSoup for some time now, and have developed relationships here and there. Yet I’m seeing you are one in a pattern of others who have found other forums and in turn have criticized the Soup. I’m wondering, why? I love it here and if it’s all the same to you I’d rather not hear about how much better another forum is in comparison. Really. Just look at all of us who are actually friends *outside* the Soup..all because the Soup brought us together. At least 4 people called me while I was in the hospital, more called me once I got home, my webcam only gets used to talk to Soupers, etc. This is a nice, happy little community, and I love it here. As KNS said, if the rules are what makes us a nice, happy little community, then yay for the rules.

(And, KNS, I wasn't referring to *you* as far right wing.)

The reason for it, though, is to promote a friendlier atmosphere.
