anybody going anywhere interesting for vacation this summer? anywhere you'd like to visit in the future?
we're staying local this year. probably a lot of camping/hiking. we used to go to north carolina/outer banks once a year, but until kids get bigger that's out of the question for now <sigh>.

The gf and I are going to Aruba at the end of this month.
We're both really looking forward it. It's my first vacation in about 4 years, and her first in 2 years.
All inclusive resort, including alcoholic beverages, so I'll probably be laying on the beach for 8 hours a day with a drink in my hand the whole time. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

I'm looking for some really good camping/hiking grounds on the east coast someplace.. Anyone have some really good experience with some of them? Which ones have the most to look at, friendly locals, heck which ones will scare the crap out of me and are Blair Witch-like? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif
Future reference. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif I may be going back to Florida in August too, to see the new stuff at Universal, etc.

I may be 'Coming to America' this summer...
I am thinking Florida, but then again I may just go to the
Caribbean and lounge around on the beach for a couple of
weeks.. decisions, decisions.
Aruba was the best trip I ever took. I also really enjoyed the Grand Canyon in Arizona- the air there is so pure and non-humid. If you need to stay on the east coast I would try the Adirondacks.

I hope to go to Paradise Island sometime in the next year or two (definitely not this summer)...

I'm also going to Arizona in October for my brother's wedding. I've been there about a half-dozen times and hope to live there one day, either in Tucson or Phoenix.

Yes, I'd definatly like to try the Grand Canyon, and the Adirondacks. 2 Places I have unfortunately never been.
Hmm, I also plan on visiting Roswell, New Mexico and Rachel, Nevada since I'm an avid UFOlogist.
I'd also like to visit some movie locations. One example: The street Halloween was filmed on. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif
I'm funny like that.

Hmm, I sure hope the little spiders were an attempt at humour. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
