I remember when original nintendo came out. It was awesome. Then Super Nintendo came out and it was like 20 times better and it killed sega genesis. Then I remember when Nintendo 64 came out. It was UNBELIEVEABLE. Now adays everyone owns an n64, I wonder what dolphin will be like..

The original nintendo, yeah I remember it. I got it right after my atari broke. Now the atari was an old gaming system. And the super nintendo I had also but I only had that a short time before I got the playstation. Ah the good ole days. Overall I have to say I enjoyed the playstation the most.

I remember pong! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif oooh, that hurts to admit!

I liked super nintendo games the best - they didn't take forever to load, like the playstation does. Just pop it in there and off you go. I liked the original Final Fantasy on Regular Nintendo. Now that was a fun game... the newer RPG games have so many different special attacks to learn, spell levels that have different ways to evolve, weapons that you can equip with different things... I get so confused! Push: Left, Left, up, down, up, right, up, down, down, right and left to execute so and so attack. Uh, huh... just let me whack 'em the good old way. I can't remember 30 different attacks, let alone one! We had a Sega CD that we got because when it came out it was supposed to be the best thing - it evidently flopped since I only found a handful of games for it. Anyone remember Sewer Shark?

Since we got this computer - think I'm going to forget about the newer systems coming out. Seems like about the time you get to really liking a system, it becomes obsolete and you can't get any new games for it.

I still think I got the most enjoyment pound-for-pound from the Atari 2600. I still have it somewhere, with about 50 games since they ended up costing about 2 bucks.

I agree with you 100%, Spidey! If I'm playing a game, chances are, it's Mario 1. And sad to say, I still rarely ever make it past world 8-3. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

ah yes, older games rule.
I often prefer them, because they were (relatively) simple to make, and they weren't out trying to make a few hundred million each game, so you get much more bizzaro ideas.

I had a nintendo for a while, but I just couldn't get anything to play on it. I borrowed my friends game genie, which seemed to make them work, but of course, he took it home with him, so I just had the console sitting there collecting dust.
Now many years later emulators finally let me play those games.
