EWWW< sewer cleaners...reminds me of Ed Norton from the Honeymooners...The episode when he and Ralph opened a hot dog stand and a customer I think had asked him what his other job was and when he told him the guy threw his hot dog out... http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif

There was an article in a magazine a few years ago about the worst/most bizarre jobs.

One was a woman who started her own business cleaning up crime scenes once the police work had been completed.
Basically, if someone were murdered in a house, her company (specifically, herself) would come into the house and clean up the blood and guts so that there were no visual reminders of the crime and the family could return to a normal living environment.

Another was a man who worked as the guy who cleans out the sewage water pumps at the bottom of garbage dumps and landfills when they clog up.
He basically puts on a protective suit, gets lowered from a crane into a drill hole, wades through tons of garbage and sewage and unclogs the water pumps so they can pump away waste water.
The sick part about it was that he'd be lowered into 20' of waste water, and he said the stuff would be hot and acidic because of the decomposition, so it was basically like being dipped into a pool filled with boiling hydrochloric acid. He'd go through protective suits within days because the waste water would eat away at it.

Yuk!

There were plenty of other jobs mentioned, but I can't recall the others off-hand.

I had always thought that being a garbage man would be the worst job. I asked my garbage man once about it. He told me that it isn't so bad. You get to look and pick through everyones garbage, and you find some interesting things. He also told me that there was this new guy on the truck once. Well, he was picking up a can and removed the lid. It was full of rotten, decaying very-used feminant hygiene pads. The odor (along with the visual) actually made the guy pass out. That was his last day on the truck.

What about working in a nursing home (or even a hospital for that matter) and having to bathe people in all sorts of conditions, and quite likely even having to wipe their asses.... ICKY http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/sickpuke.gif
