Greetings people!
This must be some new forum hehe. Well ... I just want to see how many will actually notice this message and how many will reply to it.
The question I have is : anyone of you out there believe you have psychic abilities? You know ... just when have that feeling that something is gonna be like that and then it turns out exactly that way.
I could say I have a slight hint of psychic abilities. Sometimes one can wonder if it's paranoia , but I don't think so.
There was a time when I checked when last somebody was on a chatline. I saw the person got a memo and later the day I emailed that person and asked her if the person that memo-ed her was person A. When she replied on the email she told me I was right. Strange ... it's just , when I saw that "1 new memo" under her info I immediately knew who it came from.
So anyways , any of you psychic people out there? Care to share your stories?
Would love to hear from any of you.
Take care!

I would say that I am slightly empathic. Sometimes my emotional mood is linked to something that is happening very far away...or even at the greatest, I will dream about an even occuring in my family over 1000 miles away... It's weird, but I do not deny that psychic abilities exist.

Of course AAA is.
Sometimes it is a good thing and sometimes it is a bad thing. Most of all it is an uncertain thing.
I guess one of the most bazzar experiences was when I pointed to a spot in the woods we were driving by (Honest to Goodness this is true) and told my dh they were going to find a dead body there, that it would be the perfect spot. Well, on the news a week later they DID find a body in that exact spot.
Here the girl had been murdered later the night I had predicted the spot.
DH and I just got chills and even though he is not a BIG believer in this type of stuff, he beleves me.
(AAA grew up with a mother who understood this about her and encouraged it. So, I never thought it or I was special or wierd till I got older. I think humans have the ability , but not everyone knows how to tap into it.)

I don't think I have the kind of psychic ability you have, but I usually know when something around me moves. I just get a "sense"
As for your psychic abilities you mean, I couldn't tell you how many fingers I'll have when I grow up even if I wanted to...

quite often i have dreams of what's going to happen in the days to come. it's kind of freaky. i mean, sometimes, what i dream doesn't happen, but other times i'll be like 'wow, that's weird, i just had a dream about this...'
and sometimes, though it's not really psychic, i can just sense what someone is going to say. i mean, if they're giving me news about something, stuff like that. but that's just knowing people well, i guess.

One morning, I desperately didn't want to go to work. I had a bad feeling about the day. I went, that day, and one of my coworkers died of a massive heart attack.....

Yeah, there are *good* ones but.........
Seems like most or most of the ones that I don't take for granted are rather sad/bad/doomsie. They are usually about others also. I may get *feelings* concerning my welfare but never really see the BIG blows headed right at me.http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/punch.gif

I never considered myself to have psychic abilities. There have been various times in my life when I had a sense about something extremely wonderful or terrible would happen, and it would. The day I found out my dad died I woke up with a terrible foreboding, didn't want to get out of bed. He died later that morning. A similar experience occured the day my mom went into a coma.
I have also felt the presence of both of my parents at various times after they died.

I dont' know if you could call it psychic or anything, but I get extremely panicky before a bad storms...the one's the DO cause damage. I got very panicky once with a breif storm in the city I used to live in. I found out in the news later on that lightning had hit two people on the street which was uncommon considering the amount of buildings and metal poles around for the lightning to hit. It killed them instantly. It happened again with a bunch of tornadoes and a storm all the way across the US where my brother was and I didn't know there were any storms there at the time. I do get nervous when I hear about the storms and when I'm aware of them but, the ones I'm talking about are the ones I'm not aware of.
I too am a bit empathetic. If someone cries around me, I'll cry. If they are just depressed or just look down, I will too feel depression. My natural reaction though to my own depressions is to imediately get happy so I tend to get happy with those moods to try to cheer them up. I will feel anger when the other person is angry, or joy when the other person is feeling joy. I tend to cry easily (or at least grow a lump in my throat) when I see a sad movie. I will usually sense these emothions from other people upon first contact, but sometimes I need to hear them talk first. There are times that i shut myself off from feeling the way they do cause I refuse to change my mood, but other times i can't help it. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

LadyS:
That sounds like a level of ability to me.
Like I said, I think almost everyone is capable.
Some ignore or do not tap in to it.
Others can not control it, it just happens when it happens. Maybe with some focus on it your ability level would continue to increase. I'm not sure how it is for others.
Someday we must talk about this parent thing. My parents have been gone for a long time now. We could compare notes, so-to-speak.http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

Spidey, that would be John Edwards -- isn't that show fascinating?? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif My dad, the cynic, still insists its an elaborate hoax geared at vulnerable people. But how can you not beleive the sincerity of that guy?

AAA...sounds like a nice idea. This is a topic that fascinates me, and I would like to hear about the parent thing.
I have always thought that most everyone has the ability to one degree or another. I've noticed a few people talking about empathic ability. I have that in spades. It took me a very long time to become comfortable with it, and there are times it is still a bit embarrassing. I suppose that is one of the reasons I got my degree in counseling psychology. As Lys was saying, I can pick up on the feelings of others practically instantly. And oftentimes I experience their feeling and mine at the same time. It's very difficult to describe.

Unfortunately (I think) it isn't a given. I've known several people throughout my life unable to be empathic. One that really sticks in my mind is my brother, and he was always the most critical of me being that way. go figure

kristin> i read an article about him in time magazine today. some say he's a hoax. there was this guy that was on his show and apparently parts where he disagreed w/john were edited out and whatnot. then there was something about strategically placed microphones in the audience while they were waiting for the show to start and talking about their families. dunno; he seems sincere to me.

I tell *Teen* to be leary of ones seeking fortune or fame. I think people that truly have the gift tend to keep it to themselves and their small circle.
*Teen* wants me give her an ESP test this weekend.
Heee hee, she wants to read the tarrot cards for me.

Amazing ... what a change in topic discussion! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
Hmmmm , must say I don't know half of what you are talking about. Guess that's why I didn't reply. Hehe ... no that's not the reason. I simply couldn't get here and was too busy. A lot of work and a lot of time around ... tired when I come home.
Also , last weekend when I replied and wrote so nicely at other posts , I came to this one and suddenly all my energy was gone. Strange. Thanks for your posts people. Interesting to read em all.
As for that parental "bond" , I'm sure it is capable if one believes in it and if one feels it as a very strong feeling.
Where was that earthquake in the US? I'm not too sure nowadays what is happening all over the globe. Yeah , I don't watch TV that much ... very seldomly. That's me hehe ... outdoor guy , active guy. I hate it to be stuck inside a house .... Could be another reason as to why my replies comes in only on weekends. If ever http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
Anyways , how strong do you people think a bond between two people can be , simply taking in consideration that they know each other from the inside extremely well , but they have vain ideas of what each other looks like? Ok , they have at least some picture of each other ... but they haven't met and seen each other. Do you people think that there could develope a bond in any way? Could be interesting to see your comments on this one.
Alright , off to other posts and hope to check out here soon! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

When I was 12, my mother was in the hospital having open heart surgery, She was a day from getting out everything was ok. I was staying at my sisters house, I dreamed that I was in my mom's hospital room and I could see her body floating in the air, but her physical body was still in the bed. She turned to me and said, I'll be back don't worry.
I woke up to my sister Yelling at me telling me that mom had died for 11 minutes and they were able to bring her back. I never told anyone for a long time. She dosn't remember anything. But that's not the only experience I've had theres been quite a few, but that one was the most powerful!!

Wow.
I also got this weird dream the night before we learned my uncle had a stroke and was in comma, eventually died. I was playing with my cousin in her room, then her mom walks in, all teary/crying. Well, I wasn't really there (in the dream). Or they didn't notice me...
Not the first time though. I'm impressively good at guessing a number or color someone's thinking.
