how do i make it Transparent .gif format (must blend into background)? and for some reason when im editing and my picture is 32x32 it looks a lot smaller than the icons in the forum...

edit: none of my pictures seem to fit 32x32...anyone got a picture of a FOB? note, this would not be racist as i am asian...something with a rice hat preferred!

Lastly, as far as a mug shot, I guess that would be okay without the transparency, but I do prefer them to blend. Do you have your mugshot in .gif instead of .jpg? Might be able to blend the background, but keep your face. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

for a FOB...sorry it's on my web page. i have a FOB section. if you look at the FOB section you can see a few. its under male stereotypes. i like the nerd or the railroad worker but i cant seem to convert them to the right size...

I find the easiest way to make something transparent is as followed :
1) use photoshop (DO IT!)
2) use the pencil tool(for small images like this atleast) and use a bright, easy to see color that is NOT already in your image to color in all the areas that you want transparent
3) goto File>>Export>>Gif89a Export and select the color you chose (in indexed color mode)
