Looking For a Lighthouse

Oh, the tossing tumbling seas
Throwing my little boat around
The wind washing the water on the decks
The rain ravashing the tarnished white paint

Oh, lighthouse, standing tall
Where is thy beacon?
Where is thy truth?
Where is thy guidance?

I am rocked about by the raging waters.
Tossed to and thro
Like a drunken man unable to stand.
Feeling the nausea overtake me.

I feel lost and confused in this sea.
A sea that was once calm, crisp, clear.
A sea that carressed my boat
With soft sounds, sunshine, and serenity.

Now the sea is angry with me
Tossing me about as to if to ask, "Why?"
Oh, how I want to answer.
Oh, how I wished I could understand.

Oh, lighthouse, standing tall
Where is thy beacon?
Where is thy truth?
Where is thy guidance?
