I feel for ya. Every time I take my kids camping they find it.
I've yet to find anything that takes the itch away

i remember when we was kids, my sister used to get poison ivy real bad. once she looked like the elephant man ...

anyhoo, try soaking in a cool tub w/some aveeno oatmeal bath. you should also try this stuff called "oak & ivy tecnu". my husband puts this stuff on before and after gardening, as he's prone to poison ivy also. it seems to help him a lot.

hope you feel better ...

A friend of mine was gardening at his house, and decided to follow up his afternoon with a quickie viewing of his illegal cable and a shower.
Well, let's just say that by the time the shower was over, he was itching in places that we shouldn't mention around the kids.

Thanx spider, tried the bath stuff...no go. I'll give that oak & ivy stuff a shot when the truck (which is a diesel, Dan http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) comes back from the shop. I guess it's a blessing I didn't have a quickie that day! Then again the swelling would improve my chest size! Update, the **** is on my arms. I can't believe the welts. I wouldn't wish this on anyone!! I'm afraid to touch myself http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

I'm not saying this to rub it in but I've never had poison ivy and I used to live in a wooded area. I'm pretty sure that I've been through areas with poison ivy. Is it possible that I'm immune to it or more likely that I've never had contact with it. Has anyone else *never* been affected by it?

Rub it in, that's a cruel thing to say to someone itching to death! Just kidding. Yes, it's very possible to be immune to poison ivy. I had a friend who rubbed it all over himself & didn't get it. Some ppl are lucky that way I guess http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Well, so much for spring yard work. I've got freakin' poison ivy all over my legs. Nothing works to clear it up...one of the potions I tried burnt my skin. Maybe I need to resort to drugs. Sorry for the whining, but I itch so damn bad.

Marijuana won't relive the itching, but it might make you feel better.
You're the one who mentioned drugs. I'm just offering suggestions.http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

If I had it I'd use it...I am out!!!!! Which SUX. Been trying to get more, but am in a very DRY area http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/frown.gif I don't consider it an evil thing to smoke. I've smoked the stuff for many years & never moved on to harder stuff. Marijuana has helped me through some tough times. Rite now a bone would be a blessing...I would probably be able to find some humor in being covered with poison ivy.
