Diet or Regular?

If you drink soda, do you drink diet or regular?

i have sort of quit drinking pop (that's canadian for "soda"). but when i do drink it i drink regular pop all the way!

I quit soda about 3 months ago now. I drink mostly water sometimes lemonade. But when I did drink it I drank regular, the aspartame in the diet always gave me a headache.

Diet soda is a farce. Fat people drink it to make themselves feel better, at least the ones I know. Like this lady at work will eat half a large pizze pie, have some ice cream, and then it's suddenly okay because she drinks diet coke and takes a "fat buster" diet pill.

I'm drinking a regular coke right now only because I'm at a new job and just ordered a mini-fridge and the only cold water is bottled water thats nearly $1.50. When the fridge comes, its no more soda for me, though I love it. If I could drink a gallon of it a day without any negative effects, I would.

The truth is soda is poison. Regular soda will make you gain weight if you do not exercise regularly or have a high metabolism, rots your teeth and stomach lining, and the caffeine plays havoc with many people's moods. Diet isn't any better, only know instead of having to excercise, you're body is being literally poisoned with neurotoxic chemicals that have been proven to cause a list of symptoms that only get longer the more you drink them.

Now that I am out of my 20s, I wish my parents never had any soda in the house at all. My fiance was raised without it and doesn't crave it in the least and so avoided all the crap I had to deal with (additional excercise, bigger dentist bills, jitters, and stomach problems that forced me to stop drinking it except on "special occasions")

I say diet but it depends on the drink. I drink diet Coke the most though. I make my choice solely on flavor, and I happen to prefer the taste of diet coke to regular coke, I also prefer diet ginger ale. But when it coems to cream soda, sprite and pepsi I prefer the original. Although with pepsi I prefer crystal clear, of course that doesn't exist anymore :crybaby2:

I'm the same as Rascal. I've quit drinking pop for the most part, but treat myself to it occasionally...and when I DO have it, I drink regular (or regular caffeine-free).

In defense of diet pops though, I should point out that my sister is diabetic, and diet pop is all she can drink because regular pop is too much of a shock to her blood sugar levels.

Pepsi all the way! I drink regular Pepsi; will always drink regular Pepsi! I may be diabetic however I will not forgo my Pepsi. Sometimes I increase my insulin if my sugars are high but I swallow my insulin with a Pepsi! Color me stupid but I am addicted! I do know a woman who gave up Pepsi and all sodas one year ago...she lost 130 pounds!

The only Pepsi product I can stand at all is Sunny Delight. I prefer Sprite, Dr. Pepper, cold filtered water, or Coke, in that order.

SUNNY DELIGHT??? Have you read the ingredients in that stuff? I know diet sodas are really not all that much better, but Sunny Delight is NASTY!!! I drink water with fresh lemon or lime juice in it. OCCASIONALLY I'll have a diet soda.
