It is ridiculous to imagine ourselves completely alone in such a vast universe. Do I think that there has been some form of contact made? Yes. After all there have been many sightings marked in the past all around the world. Do I believe they are all true? No. But there must be something that all this science fiction has been based upon. As far as the government knowing and not telling society... that makes sense. Would you want them to cause mass hysteria and crackpot wonder? No. There are some cases where ignorance really is bliss.

I believe in UFOs! Quite often when I'm out and about, I see Objects that are quite obviously Flying but yet remained Unidentified by me...that being said, I do not believe that flying saucer spaceships come down to earth and give us anal probes, although it makes for very funny Kids in the Hall skits.
I'm of the same opinion as Rascal (yet again). Aliens probably exist somewhere in the vast vast universe, but I highly doubt they visit us regularly.

I don't believe in UFO's or little green men or anything like that. I do believe in the whole "Big Bang" theory and I don't believe there are people on other planets. I realize outer space is large, but that doesn't mean that there's others like us out there.

I beleive in UFOs but I don't belive in aliens. UFO mean unidetified flying object. Ive seen things in the sky that could not possibly have been known public aviation technology. I am more inclined to beleive that our government and others have made these things then aliens. But unfortunatly I cannot make that choice in the poll.

UFO's are just us humans coming back from the future. Somehow in the distant future, we learned to time travel and that is what that **** is. Case closed. :toothy10: Lol.

the reason i don't believe in ufo's is because everything can be explained scientifically. a lot of those so called "ufo's" have been government made stuff. I should know. I work for the government. anyway, so because of all the knowledge i have of all that stuff, no, i do not believe in ufo's. i shouldn't be put down for something i know to be right.

Scientifically and metaphysically not possible. You could slow the progress of time or travel to the future but its a one way street. Backwards time travle is would feth with causality.

As a matter of opinion I do not believe aliens exist. However, extreme distances could theoretically be traversed in an instant, through the manipulation of gravity. Mark my words, the understanding and subsiquent untilization of the forces of gravity is going to be the next quantum leap forward in the human experience. It will be like the computer age times a billion. With the manipulation of gravity comes space folding and even time dilation.... unfortunatly it would also usher in the tecnology to build the most destructive weapon imaginable.

Well the typo probably didnt help. But let me try to explain.
You make a time machine. Say you build it to go back and stop lincoln from being assasinated. Ok so now hes alive. Future you now has no reason to build a time machine and go back and save Lincoln, thusly Lincoln is not saved and... well you get an infinate loop. Thats just metaphysics though. There are scientific reasons why we can't. Time isnt that pliable. You cannot reveres time. You can theoretically slow it to a crawl or possibly speed it up. But you cannot reverse it.

I don't look at it as arrogence. Look at it from my perspective. Some Christians say that if God created such a vast universe then He must have made other life forms, otherwise its just a buch of wasted space. I look at it differently, what if the almighty creator made a vast infinite universe full of stars and supernovas and massive clouds of stellar dust just so we, His chosen people could have somthing pretty to light up the night sky, just so sailors could have stars to guide them! Isnt that a far more profound statement?

I was only a little annoyed about the -1 reputation point someone gave me for this thread. On such a controversial subject anyway, what right does anyone have to give me a -1 reputation point? Especially on a day to day basis I work for the government. I think I would know before you guys do. Sorry, but I was irritated at how unfairly someone was about that.
