my cat is sick or something ;[

i took my cat to the vet yesterday to FINALLY get his rabies and distemper vaccines
and he seemed ok yesterday
but today i went to pick him up and got growling and hissing
if i even touch him for more than a few seconds he growls
he apparently just wants to sleep
think it has something to do with the vaccines??

Maybe he's just grumpy and sore. I know that my dogs are all subdued and stuff when they get back from the vets/groomers. So is my cat. Plus, if this is the first time you've actually taken him, he may be a *little* bit pissed at you. If he's not okay by tomorrow, then call the vet and ask what he thinks. But as long as your kitty is eating and drinking, I don't think I'd worry *too* much just yet. I hope he cheers up soon http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

oh it's definately not the first time
ever since i got him he's been in and out of the vet....was a damn sick kitten

he just got his vaccines because he was always too sick before
i'm just gonna assume he is sick from the vaccines and
i know w/humans, if you get say a flu vaccine you tend to be a bit sick afterwards

Hrm. I don't think I've ever heard about animals getting sick from rabies and/or distemper shots. I mean, it would royally suck if your kitten got a mild case of distemper, ya know? I guess the best thing really is to watch him. If he doesn't start acting better or stops eating or something, call the vet. My cat got sick after his shots too. Was hissy and unhappy. But it may have had something to do with the fact that he also woke up with his testicles missing.

hehe yeah when my dog from a long time ago had to get one nut removed, the vet offered to put in a fake one to match the other. So we (my mother and I) decided to just remove the other anyways so it's even eitherway.
