Do you wear sandals?

Just a quick, simple poll: my friend HATES sandals because he says he does not like the way his "naked feet" look. I have to admit, I was vehemently opposed to wearing sandals until my wife purchased me a pair of Clarks Sandals (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007MFVGY/bashanything-20/103-2687865-5887804?%5Fencoding=UTF8&camp=1789&link%5Fcode=xm2). I begrudged put them on, and let me tell you, they are the most comfortable pair of footware I have ever worn in my entire life!

On a hot, humid summer's day, nothing beats having your feet uncovered. My wonderful wife made me try something I did not want to try, and I am so happy I listened to her!

I think have cute feet so I don't mind wearing them. They are comfy, but I only wear them when the season and the occasion is right.

I love sandels, however, I prefer to be bare foot. The first things that comes off when I come home are my shoes and socks. I remember in the late 60s when many of us didn't wear shoes when we went out. I believe that is when they started posting signs on restaurants saying that patrons must wear shoes and shirts to enter the establishment and to be served.

I am too much of a germ freak now to go barefoot. I remember as a kid walking into a public bathroom at the beach barefoot, and not caring one bit about it. Now, I would rather go potty in my pants than walk into a public restroom with no shoes on! :laughing3

I do like sandals, even though I only bought my first pair last month... my roommates forced me to. I really think feet are absolutely gross, and I can't stand 'em, but I do enjoy sandals. And it is nice to go around once and a while in them, especially on a hot day. Does anyone here Sandal and sock? I don't, but I know some peopel who do.

nope...sandals suck. not 'cuz i don't like my feet, but 'cuz i like the support that a good runner gives me. and i don't like looking at other people's dirty feet. bleh!

I like being barefoot at home or the backyard or most places that are not public places, as for public bathrooms I wait till I get home or to the person's house that is the closest.

I wear sandals, but only when I'm wearing a skirt or shorts. Wearing sneakers with a skirt/shorts just looks stupid. I've never found sandals to be as comfortable as my favorite runners though, so it's purely for fashion that I slip them on every once in a while.

I only like them on hot days. Your feet are a heat access point, and keeping them uncovered on a hot day as opposed to hot and sweaty in a pair of socks and sneakers, is much cooler and comfortable.

If you invest in a good pair of sandals, they will be pretty comfortable. I used to be anti-sandals until I tried them, so I understand where the "sandal haters" are coming from. :eusa_ange

When not at work I wear them exclusivly. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. Ill ware them in the rain or snow even.

i rather go barefoot anyday however if i have to go somewhere where i have to wear something on my feet i do wear sandles

OMG - what a great thread! If I had my way, I'd be barefoot all of the time. I don't wear ANYTHING on my feet except this ratty but VERY cool pair of leather thong sandals from April or May til sometimes even November. I love them. I keep my toenails painted and polished and I have a great set of toe rings. Of course, there is the ankle bracelet. I just can't imagine any other way to live. When I HAVE to get dressed up, I have a pair of dressy (EXPENSIVE) sandals with a bit of a heel that shows my toes - very strappy.

I used to love being barefoot, still do anywhere I can I go barefoot. But I don't wear sandals except on holidays. don't like sandals and I don't know why, because I mean I like my feet however small they are, I don't mind others feet either, sandals just don't appeal to me

You have to like them. It's a sad day for me when it gets too cold for sandals and I have to put shoes on. UNCOMFORTABLE day, too!!

lol I don't tend to like them, but yea their helpful when the path to the pool is burning your feet!

I've been told they're my trade mark - my favorites have a dark red leather flower between my toes - I just love 'em!! I have to look into getting another pair - these have seen better days..... *sob* *sniff* *cry*

I only wear sandals when I have to go outside for a quick smoke, but other than than, Converse all the way!

Sandals, no; flip-flops YES! Much prefer bare feet!
