When you go out to eat, what is the "type" of food you eat most often?

I eat Mexican whenever I go out. I cant believe you didnt have that choice on there!!!! OMG!! Lol.
I chose Chinese/Asian, because that's what I go out for most often. But my favorite food is actually Indian, (and I have it on special occasions) and sometimes when I'm feeling especially rich, I go out for German (not including the year I lived in Germany)...the German restaraunt near me is rather expensive, though in fairness, they give you enough food to last you 3 days.

Though I love Indian food as well, it's heavy on the wallet.
So, when I'm in Germany, I most often go our for Turkish food. Cheap, good-tasting Doeners (like donairs, but the REAL Turkish stuff...)...at least, as real as it can get in Germany...

Since there a few authentic food restaurants in my neck of the woods, I chose Chinese. I truly miss ethnic foods and choices I had while living in the States. Personally, I rather enjoy Jewish foods. The closest place to get authentic Jewish cuisine is 600 miles away in Montreal. I wonder if they have take-out and delivery?

I've never been to a mexican restaurant. I chose Italian, because there is just something mouth-watering and amazing about Italians... I mean, Italian food. ;) Although I like going out for seafood as well, but thats more of a once in a while thing. And German food to me is going home!

I don't live right in the city, but in the county around it and we have so much to choose from when it comes to eating and shopping. It's growing up real fast. A lot of new neighborhoods which is good for raising land and home value, but bad if you don't already have a house, it's getting more and more expensive to buy or rent. It is nice to have everything so convenient, but sometimes I feel like the rush of the city is getting too close.

How did you know I live in Houston?
Lil Bit
06-17-2005, 01:12 PM
Not if you can call your step mom and get free flights. I have never payed for a plane ticket. I had my friend flown here from NC to visit before he went off to be stationed in Hawaii. My step mom pulled a favor and he was on the plane 6 hours after we talked about it. It's got it's perks.

LMAO, what a dumbass(me), I never thought y'all would really pay attention to that! I should have picked like the Phoenix Times, That really would have screwed y'all up. I bet rascal is trying to figure out where I work right now. LMAO It's real easy.
I really love Mexican food, too. We had a fantastci Mexican restaurant here in town, but they closed it. I cried for a week. I'd have to say that a GOOD seafood place is my first choice, tho.

I live in New England, if i throw a rock, and i mean like a half assed throw, in any direction, well except for straight down, or up, up might not work so good either, i will inevetably hit a seafood resturaunt, or at the very least a resturaunt that sells sea food.
even in the woods, seriously come to nh and try it, you'd be surprised. ok probably not the woods, but we still have a lot.
I hear ya. Not that we have THAT many seafood restaurants in Connecticut, the whole "New England = Seafood" thing can get a bit overdone.

06-18-2005, 02:38 AM
yes,yes it can
...and there are far too many chain restaurants. I avoid them.

My step sisters lived here for most of their lives and there was this particular chain of restaurants here that they loved. When they got married their husbands wanted to move back to Chicago and so they went. The nearest restaurant of that chain was 1 1/2 hours away it was the closest mexican place. They would drive all that way once a week for dinner. Talk about desperate.
