Reasons for being a Vegetarian

Myself, I'm a full-blooded omnivore. Gimme animal, mineral, or vegetable. I don't care!

However, my sister, aunt, and two of my coworkers are vegetarians. Among them, I've heard some of the funniest and strangest reasons for being a vegetarian.

My favorite is from one of my coworkers. His reasoning: "You can sit there and enjoy that hamburger now, but when the mothership comes, and it's filled with cows, we'll see who's laughing then!"

One of my favorite quotes comes from A. Whitney Brown: "I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals; I'm a vegetarian because I hate plants."

No, because they guys that are vegetarians know that I'll give just as good as I get.
The one guy who goes to lunch with us sometimes has to just sit there as I take huge bites of my hamburger and make yummy sounds.

hmm...I was a meat freak. I was attending an all girls catholic boarding school. They said we had to give something up for lent. I was thinking of bubble gum or something easy when someone said they dared me to give up meat, telling me I couldn't do it. I gave it up for lent and quit eating it for 2.5 years.
I went to a lot of different boarding schools where it was probably safer to not eat the meat, so it worked well. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/supergrin.gif

Have you ever run across one of those vegetarians who's just *SO* anal about, it makes you wanna order a big, bloody steak in front of them, poke it with you knife, and say "moo?" I've run across a few like that :/ (Not that I care if you don't wanna eat meat, just don't make me seem like Satan incarnate if *I* do.)
