there seems to be some descension in another thread to msn. plus we need some lighter polls to counter all the heavy philosophical stuff :). soo...which is the BEST instant messaging program out there.

i voted msn...it's configurable, colourful, does video and audio well. msn 7.0 has some very cool new features like nudges and winks. stores a history if you want to do that. file transfer is a little crappy but i'm willing to forgive that.

soo sicander...what is all this "11 spyware programs" that come with msn? i download msn, install it and it doesn't install anything else for me...

I voted MSN, simply because I have had major problems with AOL in the past. I got a virus almost immediately after downloading AIM and haven't got it to work since. I chatted twice!! Grrr... very frustrating.

I use Trillian, which lets you use all of them in one program :eusa_danc

i used to use trillian 'cuz i had friends using everything...then they all sort of trickled together and i only had people online with msn lol. so i figured i might as well just use msn.

I like Yahoo! b/c it lets you leave offline messages to people. That freakin rawks! MSN is better with graphics, but ya know, oh well. MSN cant get the hint that they need offline message options.

I don't use ANY of these because I just don't need or use any of them. They just don't mean a thing to me because of everything else that I depend on.

i use AIM because everyone else uses it. i feel that everyone else should use icq though. although i haven't touched it much lately, it used to be great (offline messages like yahoo, but better), and then AOL bought it. bah!

yeah, maybe someone can explain to me the obsession americans seem to have with AIM. lol, ok don't flame me for generalizing, just something i've noticed :). seems, the VAST majority of americans that i end up chatting with use AIM and i don't know why they would?!? anybody help me out?

MSN. No questions. It has the best features now all it needs is gifs in avatars.

what kinds of gifs and avatars? with msn 7.0 (and earlier ones) you can have a pic up while you are chatting, and you can import your own smilies also...i have like 60 smilies lol.
