I actually really liked Winger's first album.
I'm so ashamed.
I'm really not like Stuart from Beavis & Butthead.

Everyone seems to have an affinity for the Village People, so we can't really hold that against you. Hell, the ground crew at Yankee Stadium does it every game during the 7th inning stretch along with 30-40,000 fans.
I still think I have you beat in the guilty pleasure/skeleton in my closet department.

I used to go to a Yankee game now and then when I was a kid.. Saw more Mets games though cause they were more local.. Good 'ol lazy dad. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif My sister loved the Yankees too.. Probably still does, but I gave up on alot of sports. I enjoy playing them though.
I guess you have to admit things here, so let's see what I can drag out of the closet..
I used to play and collect those little 1 inch high Smurfs, you remember these guys? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/blush.gif I had zillions.. Then it becomes the internet age and you find out that many of those figures are $40-$300 bucks or something. Damnit.
Same goes for all my GIJoe's, He-Man, Transformers, and Star Wars figures.
I could have retired. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif

Nah, since I grew up in Queens, I was always more of a Mets fan than a Yankees fan. I used to go to a ton of games because my uncle could get me free tickets. He used to operate the scoreboard and do electrical work in Shea back in the 60s, so he still had connections.
Now that you made me think about it, I still don't like the Yankees. I think that's because of my girlfriend. She's from Jersey, and if someone from Jersey likes them, how good could they be? http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

hehe, I like Barry Manilow. I dont' have any of his albums but Copa Cabana is cool http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif I knew this one girl who was given New Kids on the Block for Hannukah. She was so ashamed to admit she listened to it. Everytime anyone visited her house, she'd hide the album. She'd deny it too if you ask her if she listens to it.

Yes even though he is in his 50's now, Barry is still very much alive and going strong.
Funny thing is I have most of his stuff on old LP's so I can't listen to it. I am trying to build up my CD collection.
I even have a video tape of his Copacabana movie from 1985!

Speaking of NKOTB, my girlfriend and I were talking yesterday about the concerts we've seen, and she's seen NKOTB 4 times!
Of course, I can't get her to fully admit now that looking back, all of there "music" was utter crap.
So, I suppose that because she's now such an embarassment to me, the fact that I love her is a guilty pleasure.

i'm also willing to admit that i like the backstreet boys, which i'm assuming in a few years time, they will also qualify as a "guilty pleasure" ...
oh, and btw, getting back to winger, i also was a proud owner of their first album. i'm really setting myself up to get flamed today aren't i?

So, a few people have Winger's first album.
Was anyone, besides me, bad enough to actually buy their second album, In The Heart Of The Young?

Axl Grease is gross! Now David Coverdale (lead singer of Whitesnake), well now that's something special! Speaking of 80's Big Hair Bands, what about RATT and Dokken (Oh MY!!) and dare I mention LITA FORD? I know I am gonna get FLAMED for this one, but I can't help it, I was a child of the 80's!!

Barry Manilow is definitely still alive. Or at least he was last September. I went with my cousin to see him in concert. He's not a big favorite of mine but he definitely has a great voice and some catchy tunes.

'80's music was awesome compared to some of the stuff from the '90's, that's for sure.
Some of my first vinyl albums were Genesis, Peter Gabriel, George Michael, and Van Halen. The summer "Rock of Ages" by Def Leppard came out, we all listened to it so loud at camp the counsellor had to put ear plugs in to sleep! http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/privateeyes.gifhttp://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif
