View Full Version : Animal Cruelty
There's a guy here in CT that will be going to trial for the brutal slashing attack of 6 new puppies where only 1 survived. This creep is definitely a whack job - a true mental health case if I've ever seen one. He says he did it because the owners of the puppies would not give him one. He is now facing 30 years in prison (5 years for each count of cruelty) over this. Vote in the poll to tell us what you think!

I voted 30 years, I would say that is a little long, but he should do some time for that! Sick puppy, pardon the pun! :p

option D:he needs jail time - less than that. but he ALSO needs help, very badly. I'd say five years in jail and extensive therapy.
five years is a LONG time, mind you.
I don't know - this guy did a REALLY bad thing. I understand that there are people convicted of murdering a PERSON, who get less time than that. This guy more than likely deserves to serve his time in a Mental Hospital but in any event he nees to be out away for a long time. Maybe I should have made an option D... *she chews her nails*...
I added another option to the poll -

i'm just trying to imagine the converations in jail..
"what're you in for?"
"multiple murder. you?"
"i killed some puppies"
"you monster!"
This guy's so perverse they wouldn't CONSIDER having him bend over for the soap...

30 years IS really long, so I would say less time and intensive therapy. But he def. deserves jail time.

Forced therapy upon criminals almost NEVER works, people by themselves have to have high motivation to change their ways. The people trying to help them can’t change them; the only person that can change is that person themselves. This guy doesn’t need emotional treatment, what he needs is to spend the rest of his life in jail. He proved himself that he can’t be functional in society and to kill a bunch of innocent puppies over something so trivial shows he is high and beyond any point of recovery.

I think he deserves every year of it! He is cruel! I could never hurt an animal...I got mad and threw a dog (b cuz it had eaten the kittens) but it made me feel bad b cuz it whined so I HAD to go get it! It was so sad after seeing it whimper...I can not stand cruelty! Someone should torture him the way he did the poor puppies! Just not kill him...let him live thru every minute of it!

agree wholeheartedly either animal or human the punishment should be the same a LONG time in prison no therapy just prison life if possibly...some of the sickos out there its horrible
God that is so tight on puppies. I'm an dog lover so he deserves the thrity years. Anyway, over here in the UK there was a story where a women had 'collected' over 250 animals in her house. She said that she couldn't stop but I can't remember here punishment. I think it was not being allowed to own any pet again. Luckily, all the pets were re-homed.

It's good they went to new homes. People who hurt poor little animals are just as bad as people who hurt kids.
Yea. I think its sick what people can do to animals. Collecting?
She shud be known as the 'The Pet Collecter' from now on.

Oh, sorry. I guess I should have clarified that I was talking more about the guy who killed the puppies. Not the animal "collector". Of course I guess it depends on if she was taking care of them or neglecting them.
oh it doesn't matter Mustang Kitty Cat. Well she was taking care of them and neglecting them at the same time. if that's possible.

I think it is possible. If you are thinking on an emotional level. I have always treated my animals as good as my kids. They are spoiled. You can feed someone and keep them healthy and at the same time deprive them of emotional support. Or the other way around.
