What a freakin LOSER! HELLO... YOU LOST BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE LIKE THE OTHER CHOICE!

In remarks made at the annual Martin Luther King Day Breakfast in Boston on Monday, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-MA), who was defeated in November by President George W. Bush in his bid for the White House, said his loss was the result of voters who were "suppressed."

:nopity:

He went on to say:

"thousands of people were suppressed in the effort to vote" in the 2004 presidential election. "Voting machines were distributed in uneven ways," Kerry maintained. "In Democratic districts, it took people four, five, eleven hours to vote, while Republicans [went] through in 10 minutes -- same voting machines, same process, our America."

:iamwithst

Is it so hard for him to just say,

"I lost because more people favor the President's agenda then my agenda."

I guess so!

LOSER!

GEEZ I'm sick of this crap. I have until now thought that Kerry chose to take the upper road on this one, but now I'm thinking he should run for the Canadian border as some of his constituents did!! I don't for two minutes believe that the democratic voters were suppressed. Maybe the Registrars and democrats helping at the polls in those districts didn't know what THEY were doing, and THEY screwed it up! And do you really think that a Martin Luther King remembrance breakfast was the proper forum to display his angst?

John Kerry-Heinz is back to his old flip-flopping tricks again. This is what he said at Rice's confirmation hearing yesterday:

"I admire enormously your personal story. I admire the road you've traveled. I admire your relationship with the president, which is obviously special. And he certainly has the right and prerogative, as we all know, as president to make choices. ... You are going to be confirmed and everybody knows that. ... There isn't anybody in the United States of America who doesn't admire Dr. Rice for the journey she's made, for what she represents. And is she qualified for the job? Absolutely, of course she is, absolutely qualified. The president has a right to make a choice."

So Kerry greatly admires Condi Rice, believes she's "absolutely qualified" for the position, knows she's going to be confirmed, and believes the president has a right to name his cabinet. So, what does he do? Votes against confirming her. Of course, typical Kerry.

(by the way, DeadCode - I LIKE the new name you gave him... very nice!) I haven't been following Condi's travels through hell with the Senate. Did he REALLY vote her down? The bastard. In reading your post, in appears to me he sounds a little condescending (get it! I'm telling you, I'm really cracking myself up today!!:D ) towards her. Why - because she's a BLACK WOMAN, or maybe because she happens to be a REPUBLICAN??? Whatever the case - she has more class, intelligence and dignity than he'll ever know. BASH Kerry - You go, Condi!!

Yep, it's sad but true. Finally, after 2 days and 11 hours of hearings, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved Rice, meaning that now she comes up for a vote before the whole Senate. Out of the 18 members present in the committee, she was approved 16-2. The only two Nays were Kerry Heinz and Barbara Boxer. She'll be confirmed in the Senate by a similar margin I'm sure, but Democrats are trying to embarrass her or get her to say something stupid as much as possible.

Yesterday, Senator Robert Byrd (D - KKK) spoke for hours against her confirmation (apparently he's in a 1991 timewarp and thinks he's opposing Clarence Thomas for the Supreme Court) to ensure that Condi wouldn't be confirmed before the inaugaration.

When she's eventually confirmed, Rice would be the first African American woman and only second woman to be Secretary of State in our nation's history. And all this time I thought Democrats were for and not against females and minorities holding positions of power. I must've been mistaken.

WIll Kerry now vote to confirm Dr. Rice? That way he'll be able to have been "nuanced" and on both sides of the issue :)

Well, to all you now regular posters, get ready...

Allow me to introduce myself, well mostly. You will know me only by my handle, Ancient_Hawk, but I will say this.

I am not only a left wing liberal, more specifically a Social Libertarian as defined by politicalcompass.org, I was also involved directly in the 2004 Democratic Campaigns for NYS Congressional Candidates John Coleman, before he lost to Doris Kelly in the primaries, who in turn lost to John Sweeney(R) In the elections.

I have a good amount of political background other than my own opinions, which are liberal. But Hopefully I can put some sense into your minds other than that which you see on FOX News Channel (The most Republican Biased News Organization on Earth, who delivers the news Fair and Balanced, provided you are a religious right winger who will gullibly and blindly believe anything the glowy box with people in it tell you)

First of all, it was not John Kerry himself who blamed the loss on Voter Suppression, it was said by Rev. Jesse James in an interview with CNN i do believe.

Secondly, there was voter suppression in Ohio, this was well known and shown even on your precious FOX News Channel, where people would be standing in lines in crowded voting precincts for hours just so they could cast their vote. Moreover in Ohio only, the Republicans were able to send "Observers" into each precinct, who were able to practically remove people at will from voting lines.

Thirdly, thousands of people were turned away from voting precincts in Ohio and Florida who had registered to vote properly, should have been in the system, but for whatever reason they were turned away. Of people who were turned away and questioned by reporters around 9 out of 10 were Registered Democrats.

Finally, although there is no tangible proof behind it as forensic examination has not been conducted yet, nor probably ever will be. The very voting machines used in Ohio were made by the Diebold Corporation, whose CEO is a hard-core Republican Supporter.

In an interview with NBC News (someone look the date up on this one, I cant personally remember) He stated after being asked, "How do you think the elections will turn out?" "Ohio will be going for The President, one way or another."

There are alot of things our government does not tell us, and most of you Right-Wingers get your news right from the source, mainstream media. Which is all controlled by massive multinational corporations that lean with an exceptional Republican Bias, while you may not see this as a bad thing as you support the republicans, honestly you do need to step back and really get the facts of what is really going on.

Watch CSpan a bit, see what our government is really doing with our tax dollars.

You think Bush's radical plans for social security is going to really be beneficial to you? You will all be eating your words 20,30,40 years from now when you finally retire, shrivel up and die.

Oh drop the whole ohio suprsssion argument. It's all been debunked by the newspapers in Ohio and it's nothing more than conspiracy theory. There are posts elsewhere on this site to the relevant argicles.

Dear Angry White Man,
I loved your reply. I agree with you 100%. I especially loved your line in your sig proclaiming Bush as the president who got the most popular votes.... nice try dumb****...it's easy to win the popular vote when you fixed an election!! I don't know if Bush cheated in the election in '04...but I do know that the only reason he "got the most popular votes than any other president in the history of the world'' is because the world is MADE UP OF IGNORANT HOMOPHOBES.

Ridler, you don’t seem to be very consistent. You tell us that the election was fixed, then you say you don’t know if it was or not and then you finally say that he only won because the world is made up of homophobes… as if that was truly the deciding issue.

talk about voter supression! Have any of you seen whats happening in my little state of Washington. The current "Govornor" Mrs Christine Gregiore is currently holding an office she is suspected of outright stealing. After two counts the republican candidate Dino Rossi was up by first two hundred somthing votes. Second count (Machine count) he was up by 40. Third count "Paid" for bye the democrats Christine Mrs. Not Real Govornor managed to be up by 140 votes. She was sworn in as Govornor and now the republicans have done some digging and found that in only one county over 1000 felons were recored has voteing.   More that 3000 votes were cast in exess of voters registered. And numerous other findings that are being surpressed by the libral media of the area. Online polls show that a whopping 75% of the people dont agree with the results of the election. and almost 80% want a revote. But sadly we are never gonna get it. Since DA DA DA DAAAA the legislature here is dominated by democrats. :( We got screwed hard here! And its unfortunately just gonna pass. But WAIT FOR THE NEXT ELECTION!!!!! We are on the forfront of being a republican state again! Thanks Christine Gregoire for pounding the last nail in your partys coffin
