GRE Test

Has anyone ever taken the general GRE Test? In your opinion, is it hard? How many times can I take the test? For example, people can take the SAT twice and colleges would look at the highest score. Is this possible for the GRE?

I took it about a year and a half ago - I didn't think it was too bad, but it was a relief when it was done.

I didn't do much to prepare; I just did the practice tests they send you on CD when you register. I actually did quite well, so it can't be too hard ;)

I never did take it, but most my friends did and they said it wasnt that bad. I think its a lot like the SAT's if you put a lot of work in you will probably do very well, but you really dont have to put in a ton of work to do deacent. At least thats what I've heard.
