Things seem to be getting worse and worse over there...
gotta feel sorry for the US Troops that have to constantly keep looking over their shoulder for some freak that wants to blow them up.
What do you think about the whole war on Iraq?

An Iraq thread now? This seems quite a few months late.
The chinook getting shot down the other day was pretty bad. I think it'd be so hard being a soldier and not agreeing with what you're fighting for. If I was a soldier being sent to Iraq and I didn't agree with the reasons for going then I wouldn't. I can think of nothing worse than dieing for something you don't believe in. Brave guys.
I mean,I have to say some progress has been made,such as the knocking down the statues of Saddam which were everywhere...when I saw that...I thought that was kinda revolutionary
Of course,no one likes war...I agree with the reason to go over there to bring down terrorism..but I seriously thought Bush went over there very early,he seemed eager just to get right into it
My opinion- Get all the troops out of there, and nuke um'

the war in Iraq was a **** up I mean , Iraq was only going to get worse with Saddam there , but bombing them was completely out of hand & the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians can't justify the capturing of Saddam (which never happened , stupid ****ing president) my country has alot to do with this aswell , Tony Blair friggen licks GWB's arse , so then he sends thousands of SAS in & alot of Airforce .Both in the Knoledge that there was no weapons there or that they couldn't be sure , there wasn't sufficient evidence to attack Iraq , now they're both going ape**** trying to find weapons , the chances are they;re going to get to a point where they'll just plant them there & say there was weapons of mass destruction & no just a bunch of Skuds that they sold them ten years ago .
The troops there are screwed the Iraqi's are pissed off with the US & UK , only a small minority agree to what is happening .
I think they should've sent SAS in & just traced & Eliminated Saddam & his "Pack of Cards" . . . but meh , it's done , GWB & TB are screwed .

I agree that in this day in age with the technology the government and US army has available they could have gone about eliminating the Iraq government in a different way. Surely, after setting everything up and knowing where Saddam was they could have bombed or assisinated him. Instead they rushed and bombed the place they thought he might have been and then proceeded to bomb the hell out of the rest of the country.

The technology WAS used.....and US did not rush through the streets of Iraq like a madman. They knew where Saddam's palaces, and where he lives, etc, etc were....The only thing that WE did not know, is WHERE the man HIMSELF is....That was the missing piece of the puzzle...
I'm thinking that Saddam and Laden are very much dead, because lately, all we have been getting is fabricated tapes, and so on. Yes, we get legit tapes, but you get the point. Riiiight?
If they're alive, then why don't they show their faces? Why don't they show their presence? Does anyone remember this quote: "You can run, but you can't HIDE."

they havn't proven that the tapes are fake, and Sadum is probably the ring leader behind the majority of atacks on US Troops

Yeah, well......
How come I remember most of the tapes were being evaluated, and then some were not legit...hence how I said most were fabricated.
Even if they WERE not fabricated, I mean, tapes don't do justice in people believing their words.
Videos do justice for the people....and yet, we haven't seen a single new video, most of the "new" videos were either from file, or were old.

This wars all bull****. There was no real need for it all. I agree, Tony Blair is a cuntlickingpieceof****forbrain s arsewipe. He did send in thousands of the UK's soldiers too. We were never really involved in IRaq in the first place. Now were face first into this ****. So no, Thank YOU Tony Blair for thr second gulf war. I swear this is Vietnam over again. And bull**** theyfind any ****in' weapons...

NO, VIETNAM was a disaster. That had a purpose, fighting for Democracy. The South Vietnamies wanted US tropps there. It was North Vietnam we were fighting. 1st jungle war for the US troops and we got massacred. Very few people back home supported that war, so the president pulled them out. Giving Communists a whole country. THIS crap is chicken **** compared to vietnam.

I doubt it, it'd probably cause more terrorism. There would be far more people wanting to kill Americans and whatnot if they nuked a country.

Terrorist dont wear uniforms with ribbons and shiny insignias....we dont know who they are. We COULD nuke a few random countries, but that won't solve anything. The terrorists are everywhere, it could even be our very own Spam Lobster.....and we wouldn't know it.
