Would love to move to Arizona, either Tucson or Phoenix.

I notice a lot of people on here who seem to be from the NYC Tri-State area. It would be cool if they would all find this thread. If there are enough, we could possibly form an Alien Soup get-together.

I'd be willing to help organize if:
a) someone would help me
b) someone would offer suggestions as to where to have it and what to do.

Of course, this is provided that the board becomes more popular and we get people interested in doing it.
Maybe, it could become a regional thing eventually. Lots more personal than anything "that other board" ever did.

I actually had that tri-state meeting thing occur to me as well! I was born in Long Island (where the rest of my extended family currently lives within a 3 mile radius of each other), but now live (and have lived here for 15 years) in Woodbridge, Connecticut (Next to New Haven - about 10 minutes from Yale). Currently at my beach house on the Branford Shore in CT, and not wanting very much to return from the ocean when the summer ends. I actually love where I live -- I love CT -- right in the middle of Boston and NYC, so both are no more than 2 hours away. I would like to live in NYC (probably transferring there) for a while, but would return to CT.

I grew up in Sanborn, NY, which is just 10 miles out from Niagara Falls. I moved to Rochester in 1991 to go to school, and have been here ever since. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif I'm as far away as I could be from all you tri-staters, and still be *in* one of those states...http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/lol.gif...

If I could live anywhere...I think maybe somewhere in Eurpoe - which is odd as I've never been to Europe. Maybe Ireland...there's just something about light-eyed redheads with just a bit of an accent that gets Poss' motor running...

I'm originally from Lafayette, LA, and I wouln't mind moving back there, I don't think. I actually get along with my family down there now, and you can't beat the food. If I was to live overseas, I'd pick Germany. There's this nift little town called Zweibruken (I'm sure I just butchered the spelling, but it means two bridges.) I went there a few years ago, and I really liked it.

Hey Poss, I have relatives who live on Lower Mountain Rd in the town of Sanborn. I however grew up in the Southtowns of Western New York.

I am now in Boston, MA. I would like to someday live back in Buffalo or possibly in London.

If there's an Alien Soup get-together, I demand that it be national rather than regional. You can't leave us southerners out!

I live in Georgia right now but would really love to live in N. California. If I was to choose overseas, I would choose Germany, I used to live in Kaiserslautern (K-town) and around Stuttgart, would choose K-Town because they have nicer people and it's like a little American city with the German flair....I just love German food. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/chef.gif Oh my gosh...almost forgot the beer. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/pimp.gif

I split my living time between Home (Redding Ca) and school (Santa Cruz Ca) I have no idea where I want to live I do love Santa Cruz. Al I dont know what you concider N. California but from my experience living up here I have to say it aint so grand. It is hotter then HELL in the summer and colder then Hell frozen over in the winter. It does have some good out doors stuff but that is about it. As for the soup get togeather you cant forget us California people now can you.

Prox> I'm thinking the area around Vallejo, CA., would be a great area. At least it's not as humid as Georgia or as frozen over as N. Dakota. I used to live at Fort Ord and I have relatives in Vallejo.

Nice to see you kezzer -- another Connecticutian on the board! (Yes, that's the official term - and yes, I know it sounds like some form of capital punishment) Looks like Boone and I aren't alone http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

I'm from FL, as well, so at least Mth has one other Southerner in proximity. http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif I have lived all over. GA, KY, AL, OK, MD, and VA. I think CO would be the best place to live, actually.

I'm a Jersey girl (no I don't have big hair). I like where I live, actually b/c I can get to NYC in 25 min.
But I also really like Arizona (but I think I'll be yearning for the beach if I was there) http://www.aliensoup.com/ubb/smilies/cool.gif

I wish I liked the beach as I am about a ten minute walk from it in Boston. I'm really more of a fan of freshwater though. I am a 10-minute subway ride from downtown though which is great. I would like Boston a lot more if rent was cheaper, there was less traffic and the subway ran later than bars closed. Not that I don't like it mind you.
