a little background: junior at university of maryland (terps are kicking butt in acc, by the way), i work with police auxiliary and at the front desk in my dorm. i have been trying to get this job for a year, and just the other day, after my third time applying, i got it!!!! so here is my place to brag and gloat :nuts:
my title is CSS, Customer Service Supervisor. i supervise the staff at the desk, who are CAs (community assistants), usually about 12-15 of them. i have the best building, the one everyone had put for their first choice. resident life told me during my interview that this is the largest number of people they've ever had apply for the job (23) for only 5 positions, and i got one! it's so cool! my dear parents greatly benefit, because i get free room and board now...that's $7000. they were floored. in the coming months, i get to attend more meetings that i don't really have time for, get some training done, and eventually hire my own staff ;) this is just the coolest thing to happen in a long time, i am beaming :cloud9: :woot: :adore: haha
